Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Georgia

On Monday night, I went through drive through. Young man rushed me through my order while I was ordering After young man handedgme the wrong order, twice, the manager, who was an AA middle-aged female with short hair and glasses fussed at the employee for the mix up. I finally got the correct food. I drove to another fast food restaurant drive through and realized that Popeye's had not given me back my debit card. I called and spoke with manager. She showed zero empathy or concern over the fact that they did not give me back my debit card. She said that they cannot be responsible for ME forgetting to get my card back! As I was pointing out to the manager that the confusion began with the drive through employee rushing me through my order, she rudely and disrespectfully interrupted me in midsentence and yelled that she would not let me complain about the employee just because I "am having a bad day!" She then hung up on me! I filed a complaint that evening through Popeye's website but, after 3 days, they have not gotten in touch with me. Based on some of the other reviews of this Popeye's location and the company's failure to call me back, it is apparent that the organization does not care about customer service. I still believe that the young man at the drive through window knows what happened to my debit card. I cancelled it when I got home...

On Sunday Aug 10, 2025 I placed an order for pickup. I ordered (2) 3 piece strips (2) mashed potatoes and gravy (1) cup cajun gravy and since menu did not indicate that 3 piece strips came with a biscuit I ordered 2 biscuits. I prepaid with a credit card and sent my grandson to pick up the order since I'm in a wheelchair. When he got there they told him they had no mashed potatoes and gravy and gave him 2 choices only fries or coleslaw he took one of each. My problem is what kind of chicken restaurant would be out of mashed potatoes & gravy at 645 pm when they are open until 11pm. Secondly I know they are instant Mashed potatoes so I felt they should have said would you care to wait a few minutes for the potatoes and gravy? So virtually I overpaid since I paid for 3 side orders and only got 2 then she asked him if there was a drink on the order he said he didn't know but she said it had already been cleared out and she didn't know either. Had I gone to pick up the order I would have refused it and asked that it be reversed on y cc but he didn't have the card. If they had called me and said they didn't have everything for the order I would have cancelled it. Having been in retail management for many years I would say it's a case of POOR MANAGEMENT AND LACK...

The food is good and the service is friendly. However, even though I was the 9nly one in line I was asked to pull forward where I proceeded to wait for my food for 15 minutes. When I asked why that was they told me they are judged on drive thru time and the cook time for the food is too long. So essentially they don't have any food prepared and make you pull forward and wait while they get good scores for clearing the drive through quickly. The extra issue with this is if something is wrong or I need extra napkins or sauce I have the send the employee back into the store or walk in myself which nearly eliminates the convince of the drive thru. Other popeys do not have this issue it seems.

At least the food is fresh.

Edit: I went back to give them another shot and this time I got 3 popcorn shrimp in my combo order. Not an exaggeration, actually 3 pieces of popcorn shrimp. I also asked for cocktail sauce that I did not receive with my meal and when I went back through the drive thru to ask for more they charged me 30 cents.

Really tired of this location and that was my final time going. Its a shame the next closest one is so much farther...
