7 Elegance Barbershop — Local services in Cartersville

Two months ago, I gave this barbershop a 5-star review for giving me a good haircut and being nice. I was pleased with my experience. However, on March 25th, I had the worst customer experience ever, and I am never going back!

I came in for my usual haircut, booking an appointment with Alonso in advance so that I wouldn't have to wait. When I arrived, someone was already getting a haircut, which was fine. I waited for my turn, but when it came, I saw someone else sitting in my spot. I asked my barber how this happened since I had booked an appointment for 12 pm and it was already 12:30 pm. His colleague told him that I was the guy who had booked for 12:00 pm. He immediately apologized, but I told him I had to go since I had other things to do. I said I would be back another time and told him it wasn't cool. A second later, the hairdresser Elizabeth offered me a free haircut the next day. I said I would check my schedule and call back.

After 30 minutes, I called and said I would come back the next day, the 26th, but I still wanted to get my haircut with Alonso. He gave me a good haircut, and I decided to tip him $15 because I felt bad that he wouldn't get paid the full amount. When he saw that he only got $15, he asked why. I responded that he had made a mistake the day before, and Elizabeth had offered me a free haircut. He said he didn't do free haircuts. So I asked him to call Elizabeth, and when I asked her if she had offered me a free haircut, she said yes, but it was only for her. I felt that wasn't cool.

I paid him his full amount, which was $35 plus a $5 tip, as I usually do. But believe me, I felt bad for leaving a tip and not saying I don't do tips. I am never going back there ever again. Been here 4 times. 2 of the times was a good haircut. 3rd time was decent. 4th time was absolutely terrible.

Did a walk in since you can’t book with anyone except for two of the barbers. Sat down and they had someone translate what I wanted to the barber. He didn’t do anything of what I wanted. Cut the front way too short and didn’t touch the back which was the whole reason I went in. Didn’t wanna ask the barber to do anymore before he messed something up even worse. It’s honestly not even fixable till the front grows back out.

I usually don’t leave reviews but I feel as a service that needs communication, you shouldnt sit clients with language barriers to each other. The lady who translated told him what I said , but It just didn’t happen.
