Smallcakes Woodstock — Restaurant in Georgia

I had a great experience with small cakes. I just gave birth to my newborn 3 weeks before my daughters 10th birthday and time kinda got away from me. So at the last minute I was scrambling trying to make sure she had a memorable day but I forgot all about cake. That is until about 2 days before her party. I was calling all around the city to get a cake made in a days notice. Small cakes promptly let me know they could do it and I was a wreck because my kids are really picky when it comes to cake and we have had some very interesting cake stories over the years. I’ve never been to this bakery before although I’ve always eyeballed it while passing by. I was able to describe what I wanted and I was able to pay over the phone which was also great because I couldn’t go pick it up. When my fiancé arrived with this cake I was in love! It was the most beautiful cake and it was exactly what my daughter wanted. I added decorations to it and sadly I didn’t get a picture before but this cake was so gorgeous, I didn’t want to cut it. I was still nervous about how it would taste especially because it was so heavy. I thought it would be dense and unappetizing but it was incredibly moist to my surprise and the buttercream was sooo good. Especially the chocolate and I don’t even like chocolate frosting that much. I just visited small cakes at the Woodstock location for the first time for my 41st Birthday! Since I am a new Mom of a 3 month old, just decided to find me a cupcake to celebrate the Day! I ordered the Red Velvet and Pecan flavor one (not sure of special name). I Received a Great welcome coming in from Mrs Gail. She also acknowledged my baby girl… She delivered amazing Customer service(Something that I am very Big on being a Professional Stylist of 20 years and part-time Barista at Starbucks for 2 years! She recommended the coconut as my 3rd option for my Birthday and BOY I must say it was my fav! I shared all 3 with my Husband when he got home. (He is a Big Red Velvet Fan til the point he orders a Red Velvet Cake every year for Thanksgiving way in Alabama where we from ;)). He love the Red Velvet and Pecan but I must say we have been talking about that Coconut Alllll Week ;)! We have tried to go pick up more at 2 other locations this week due to the longer hours but unfortunately for us the Coconut already SOLD OUT for the Day! BOO HOO ;) Please Try this place! Can’t wait to try the Apple Pie and snickers Cup cake !

First let me state that this little shop is adorable and the cupcakes are good. I have always had friendly service when we pop in from time to time since it's close to home. I recently went in to purchase end of the year teacher gifts. I asked for the cupcakes to be boxed individually as these were gifts. I was informed that it would be $.50 extra per cupcake to have them boxed individually!! My husband and I were shocked when we were told this since you would think this type of expense would be factored into the cost of the cupcake in the first place. What if I wanted one cupcake to go?? Would I have to pay $.50 for that too? We decided not to order the cupcakes after all and we ended up going to Gigi's Cupcakes (which are my favorite) in Kennesaw where we don't get charged extra for boxes. We also ended up ordering more than originally planned since Gigi's had my favorite cupcake, Lemon Dream Supreme, that day.
