I hate to leave a bad review because we've had great experiences on previous visits. The host told us there was about a 40 minute wait, and we gave him our phone number after he said he would call us. We sat in our car and eventually went back inside to wait. They seated us immediately at one of the open tables without having ever called us.
A couple wait staff asked if we had been helped after a few minutes, but no one actually took it upon themselves to serve us. They kept saying "oh, I think anither server is helping you."
From that point on, it was like we were invisible. We couldn't get anything we asked for. After about 30 minutes, we would just ask any wait staff walking by for either an appetizer, or a "protein." But we would have to ask multiple staff, multiple times to get it. And we would get answers like, "I think it's ordered, let me check." And nothing would happen. We had to ask 4 servers for a refill before we got one single refill. People at our table were just saying we should've gotten the refill ourselves.
We would see other tables get multiple proteins, multiple appetizers, etc. before we would get anything. At one point, we even saw a waiter go table to table and refill dipping trays. He did not stop at our table.
We always try to be respectful and understand that workplaces are short staffed. We tried to be patient from the start and always said please and thank you. We just don't know what happened.
And do the projectors and TV's not work anymore? I know it's not anything serious, but we always thought they added to the atmosphere.
Finally, when the shift changed, everything went back to normal. We got a single server who took over our table and he immediately asked what we needed and we had it within a few minutes. He asked to refill the drinks (the first person to ask that night). Unfortunately the service was so bad from the previous servers, we don't plan...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed in KPOP. I left work yesterday (as I work in law enforcement) and me and my friend decided to get dinner at KPOP. We have been dinning here for years. Always have an amazing time. Me & my friend are Muslim minorities. All the waiters were younger white men. Most of everyone dinning was also white. We felt so discriminated against. We had to ask for things 2-3 times while watching waiters and our waiter tend to all 5-6 other booths. We waited and waited we were getting ignored constantly. No one was coming to help us or ask us if we wanted a meat while obviously looking at our table and seeing the grill is empty and has been empty for a long time. I then asked for beef bulgogi just for 15-20 minutes to go by and the waiter says nothing. So I ask for the check and say I changed my mind on that last meat just give me my check. The waiter goes “oh yeah well we are out of it anyway, I forgot to tell you” they were extremely dismissive and extremely racist and they weren’t afraid to show it towards us. Im so disgusted at the treatment we received. Then they overcharged me. They never refilled my water or her coke. Never brought us sauces until the last 20 minutes of our dinner even though we asked over 5 times. So disappointing. Extremely. I know a lot of people dont like Us Muslims and us being minorities, but we just wanted a good meal and to be treated with respect! I asked to speak to the manager on shift. Also white man. And he smiled in my face the whole time I was expressing that we felt extremely discriminated against. Combined we paid $85+ and left....
Read moreWe had a great time here. We were welcomed immediately and made to feel comfortable as we waited for our table. We sat at the bar for a drink and had a pleasant conversation with the bartender. There is a nice selection of beer, wine, and cocktails available if you would like an adult beverage. When we were seated we were given a nice overview of how the process works as we had not been to a Korean BBQ place before tonight. We opted for the All you care to eat choice so we could sample a few things. We were able to try the pork belly, bulgogi beef and pork, spicy chicken, and Kpop steak. All of the meats were delicious. Our server showed us how to cook the meat as you have the grill in the center of the table so you can cook it yourselves. Our server kept checking on us throughout the evening and would hop in to make sure the meats were cooked properly. I really liked the touch that if our server was busy, another server would check on us and the food to make sure everything was cooking properly. All of the meats we had were delicious! There are sides of salads, rice, pickled vegetables, and a bowl of ramen. All of the sides accompanied the meal nicely and were very good. There are 4 different sauces on the table and I recommend trying them all to see which one you like. I thought they were all good, but the garlic sauce was my favorite. Both the owner and the general manager stopped by our table and introduced themselves and asked about the service and the food. That was a nice touch that we appreciated. Good food and service means we will be back to eat here again....
