Summit Bar and Grill in Snellville is a fantastic dining spot that offers a welcoming atmosphere, excellent service, and, most importantly, delicious food. I recently had the pleasure of dining there, and after hearing great things about their menu, I decided to try a few of their most recommended dishes. I’m happy to say that the experience did not disappoint.
Fajitas – A Must-Try!
One of the standout dishes at Summit Bar and Grill is their fajitas. From the moment the sizzling platter arrived at the table, I knew I was in for a treat. The aroma of well-seasoned meat and vegetables was mouthwatering, and the presentation was top-notch. The portion size was generous, with a hearty serving of protein (chicken, steak, shrimp, or a combination), fresh bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes, all cooked to perfection. The seasoning was spot on—not too overpowering but just enough to bring out the bold flavors.
The fajitas came with a side of warm, soft flour tortillas, allowing me to build my own perfect bites. They also provided sour cream, guacamole, shredded cheese, and pico de gallo to add extra flavor and texture. The meat was tender and juicy, while the vegetables had a nice char without being overcooked. Every bite was flavorful, and I can confidently say these are some of the best fajitas I’ve had in Snellville.
Rice Bowls – Flavorful and Satisfying
Another highlight of my meal was the rice bowl. I opted for the chicken rice bowl, and it exceeded my expectations. The base of the dish was a bed of fluffy, perfectly cooked rice, topped with grilled chicken, black beans, fresh avocado slices, corn, tomatoes, and a drizzle of a zesty house-made sauce. The combination of textures and flavors was well-balanced, and it felt like a healthier yet still indulgent option.
What really impressed me was how fresh and high-quality the ingredients tasted. The grilled chicken had a nice smoky flavor, the beans were well-seasoned, and the avocado added a creamy contrast to the dish. The portion size was also generous, making it a satisfying meal on its own. Whether you're looking for something hearty but not too heavy, the rice bowls at Summit Bar and Grill are an excellent choice.
Chips and Salsa – A Great Start to the Meal
Of course, no visit to a Mexican-inspired restaurant is complete without chips and salsa, and Summit Bar and Grill delivers on this front as well. The chips were crispy, fresh, and not overly greasy. The salsa had a great balance of acidity, spice, and freshness, with a slightly chunky texture that I prefer over a thin, watery consistency. It had just the right amount of kick without being too spicy, making it enjoyable for a wide range of palates.
Final Thoughts
Summit Bar and Grill is a great spot in Snellville for anyone looking for flavorful, well-prepared food in a relaxed atmosphere. The fajitas and rice bowls are particularly outstanding, and the chips and salsa are a great way to start your meal. The service was also friendly and attentive, adding to the overall experience.
If you're in the area and craving quality Tex-Mex-style food, I highly recommend giving Summit Bar and Grill a try. Whether you're dining in for a casual meal or celebrating a special occasion, you're bound to leave satisfied. I’ll definitely be returning to explore more...
Read moreEditing my review from 6 years ago... My husband and I have been going to Summits for over 13 years and have seen so many changes and none for the better. First things first, I understand inflation and food prices have gone up in general. Everywhere. That's fine. It's to be expected. With that being said I think Summits took it a little to far. $11.99 for 6 wings. $13.99 for the blue chips appetizer, I could go on. We went in today and got 10 wings with no celery or carrots sub fries which we've done for years. No problem. The server then let us know that since we subbed the carrots and celery we'd have to pay for the dressing. I said what ? Wings come with a dressing right? She said the owner changed it to where if you don't get celery and carrots you don't get a dressing. That makes zero sense. What's $.79 in the grand scheme of things. It's honestly not about the money but the principle behind it. She even said it doesn't make sense and she hates to have to tell tables that. Not to mention a previous sever from our last visit told us they don't make all sauces and dressings in house anymore when we asked about it. You can tell. If you're going to charge those kind of prices then the quality of the food needs to be held to a higher standard. The food is always great ( except the dressings now) but the pricing is not worth it. I'd also like to add that for over 15 years they were one of the only restaurant/ bars open til 2 am serving food in Snellville and since 2020( covid) they now close at 11 /12 with no plans on going back to their original hours. I get it but at the same time don't. It was a great industry bar and late night spot but now it's just a overpriced bar food and drinks. Needless to say the wings are great but not enough to justify the pricing and cheapness of the menu / establishment. Also, why put slot machines in the "party room"? Seems to me like they're trying to make money anyway they can by jeopardizing the business it was once known...
Read moreI just went here and had a reuben and some wings. The flavor of all the food was spot on. The wings were meaty, but the meat fell off the bone with the normal twisting motion. The flavor was amazing. Hard to find wings up to the standard where I will actually say they were done right, but these were. I got the hot buffalo wings and I reccomend them. The meat on the reuben was just a little fatty and a little tough, but was not hard to eat and the flavor made up for it enough that i will still give 5 stars. The sauerkraut was sweet and not too tart. It complemented the corned beef well. Zachary W. was my server and the service exceeded my expectations. My beer was never empty. He watched my table so he could arrive when i wanted to order or get my check. He checked 2 times to see if we needed anything, but he wasn't a pest. In short, perfect. The menu was great. I can get anything from ahi tuna, to fajitas, to burgers, to grouper as late as 1:45am. No more dennys and mcdonalds when im out late. I finally have a late night fish spot.
As for the idiot that said they don't serve black people, there was a normal mix of people in the bar and everyone seemed to get the same service and everyone seemed to be happy. I saw black people going in, I saw black couples eating and drinking together, as well as black folks hanging out with white folks. The people in here are just equal people and if there was any racism, you brought it with you, because I didn't see any of that mess when I was there. I will...
