We really like vendetti's and have eaten here for a couple years now. The restaurant is very comfortable, has a full bar, the service is always excellent, and the food is mostly excellent with a couple exceptions. We have found the pizza to be mediocre and unfortunately the garlic knots are something we love to enjoy elsewhere, but they are not much more than doughy dinner rolls with butter and garlic here. We would love to see some light and airy homemade garlic knots here someday! Hint...hint!
What we love most about Vendetti's is their Italian dinners.... specifically the best chicken penne a la vodka we've had anywhere in the country. The chicken is consistently perfectly cooked with the absolute best vodka sauce around. We've also enjoyed their meatballs, chicken, parm, eggplant parm, and many more fantastic dinners. And it's always nice to enjoy their great food with a glass of wine or a cocktail. When the weather is nice, they also have wonderful outside seating in a little garden patio on the side of the restaurant. We also like to do our grocery shopping across the street and call and order our food ahead of time, then pick it up at their takeout counter and bring it home. Extremely convenient (right next to Kroger and Publix) after a long day when you don't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVendetti's left a poor taste in my mouth. Love the decor and atmosphere. Everyone was lovely, but the food and service need work. Saltimbocca and garlic knots were highly underseasoned and lukewarm. Had to add salt and parmesan to kick up the flavor. Was charged $1 for marinara that the menu said was included with the garlic knots. No big deal. Don't mind paying that, but maybe change the menu if that's the case. My daughter got the creamy pesto bowtie pasta, and it was really good.
Service sucked. Yohan was kind but very inattentive. After I asked for the marinara, he didn't check on us once. We finished eating probably 8 mins after we got our food. We were on our phones, and my kid laid down in the booth until I sent her out to the car to wait. I pushed my plate away from me clearly indicating I was done. Maybe 20 minutes after that I finally got the check. I was there 40 minutes longer than needed. First time in years I've tipped less than 20%.
I don't want to assume Yohan wasn't busy because I don't know what else he had going on, but there were only 3 other tables and plenty of staff. I've worked as a server before. I get it, but forgetting to check on the guests even once is a...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePlace was easy to find, corner of retail marketplace. Parking was easily available. Hostess was nice, seated after she cleaned off a table. The restaurant was busy, a good sign. Came in around 7 after dinner rush. Mozzarella sticks ordered, standard sticks nothing special, but the sauce was good, not your standard marinara. Fettuccine with Alfredo and chicken with 2 garlic knots. The sauce was really good. Sometimes Alfredo is almost flavorless and just creamy. This was really good. Maria's pasta was really good also, bell peppers and onions. Came in, not that hungry, but finished my meal also came with 2 garlic knots. Sauce was good. The marinara wasn't too acidic, just right. Pizza margarita was alright, but the crust needed something otherwise wasn't bad. I probably would try a different pizza one more time to give another shot. The service got a 4, waiter was pleasant enough, but was a little slow. They take order with handheld, so order put in pretty quickly, runners would bring the food out. It's pretty efficient. You also pay on the same handheld. Overall, a pleasant experience would give 4.5 on service if I could, ...
