Waffle House — Restaurant in Georgia

Horrible ! I came into this Waffle House on Saturday Night February 17, 2024 at around 8:10- 8:15pm I came here straight after work. When I walked in and sat at a high top for 2 minutes the guy with the half brown and half blonde hair told me that they were not taking anymore orders because the cook has to clean off the grill said that it would be until 9pm for them to make something. I asked him why I already know what I want already it shouldn’t take that long, and he said it’s gonna be until 9pm. I’ve came to this location before and didn’t have to wait until 9pm to order and even then there was someone there that was completely alone serving and cooking at the same time. That guy was there too (half blonde and half brown hair) (leaving him there by himself) I don’t understand why I have to double back to another Waffle House to get what I want just for them to say that it doesn’t take an hour to clean a grill it only takes 2 minutes. So you mean to tell me I have to travel all the way back 7minutes to come back and pass THIS Waffle House on my way home. That’s ridiculous. If he wanted to get off early or at 9pm (that 2-9 shift) he should’ve just said that instead of blatantly lying because I’ve definitely worked for Waffle House before. I arrived here and as most waffle house locations encourage I proceeded to seat myself. Another couple claimed they arrived prior to my party and caused a scene. To minimize any issues a staff member apologized and asked to take the seat and give it to the other party. Many others were uncomfortable with this but we were in a good mood and said if it was such a big deal to them they could have the table. The staff was very accommodating and apologetic for the mishap and having to re-seat us due to other patrons sence of entitlement. They offered to comp our meal. We don't often stop at waffle house to eat, but I decided I just wanted to grab a bite and head home. Worse service ever!!! One of the cooks had no clue what he was doing, we had a girl get our drink take our order and never saw her again. She had others give us our ticket. The place was not very clean and the food wasn't so great either. We had to ask other servers get our refills because apparently our original could not handle her job. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had at a waffle house. I will never stop by this particular location ever again. Just horrible.
