I pre-ordered three meals on the app since I only had a short lunch break to go pick up food. I have not reviewed in the past but this is literally the fifth time in a row that they have not gotten the orders right. The chicken tasted either double cooked, or it had sat under a heat lamp too long as it was dry and chewy. They did not include sauces, which I requested on the app and should have received 4 of, but if you ever ask for an additional one they charge you $0.75 for each, so they owe me $3 just for sauces I never got, too! Our drinks were wrong, and didn't even have ice. I paid for a six-piece meal and they gave us the smallest meal instead. Generally speaking, their is ZERO quality control going on at this restaurant, which I suspect is due to poor management, lack of oversight or training; or perhaps they generally just don't care about their customers experience. Since I did not have time to go back to correct this, nor did I want to waste time and gas (which would have been at my expense alone), to correct a problem that should have never been a problem since serving their customers correctly is their business, I attempted to call the restaurant and request a refund of the difference that they charged me for the meal. After several call attempts over the next hour I was unable to reach them and only ever received a generic voicemail, one that did not indicate it was even Zaxby's, although I confirmed phone number online. Each time I only heard that their voicemail was full. Sad to me is that I couldn't get 1 of the 5 people who were standing around the drive through window to double check my order for accuracy, nor take the time to answer the phone, nor clear their voicemail. Perhaps they know they provide terrible service and are intentionally not clearing their voicemail in order to avoid taking calls or proper care of their customers. Since they are located in a neighborhood area and not a hot tourist spot, you would think that they would understand the importance of repetitive business from their nearby customers as being their essential primary target market, and critical to their long term growth and profitability. But perhaps they have just gotten lazy because the nearby Chick-fil-A has been under remodel and they have been enjoying the overflow of business by no effort of their own, and have thus gotten complacent in caring for their customers. Since I refuse to wate time and gas to correct their mistakes, and since they cannot even answer a phone call, writing this review is my last option, but it is being written with the hope that the franchise owner will see this and actually provide some accountability to their management and staff. Such a shame, too, because with Chick-fil-A closed for remodeling nearby, my family of 5 had given Zaxby's all of our weekly business since, but enough is enough. Perhaps Chick-fil-A's managers could train Zaxby's as Chick-fil-A always gets things right. The aggravation alone is not worth continuing to visit this Zaxby's store because they never get it right, nor do they seem to care. We do like Zaxby's in general, and for their sake alone, because I empathize as a business owner, I hope they get it figured out, as I am sure I am NOT the only one who has had a bad experience. There are certainly many others who just won't take the time to write a review, but instead will vote with their dollars and simply never return. With two restaurants of our own in NC, I know reputation and quality control are essential in this business, and was glad when a customer told me the truth so we could correct and improve. Hoping this truth will be read by someone who has the power to hold this location and his team accountable, since management has somehow fooled the franchise owner's this...
Read moreI came here a few days ago and ordered a cob zalad with no onion crisps. I got home and opened it up and there were onion crisps on it. So I took it back in the manager who was there at the time which was a guy kind of kept giving me these weird eyes and told me that he could refund it but he couldn't take it back and then he just kind of stared at me. Very weird. So I got my money back for that order. But then I was hungry again tonight and didn't want to order on doordash and wait for food so I wouldn't hear again. Same order, same problem. This time I give it back to the lady for them to remake and then she handed me the new salad and I got home and opened it up and it still had onion crisps on it. They tried to tell me that it was because they gave me the wrong salad but the girl stood right there while they remade it. Makes no sense. I don't think the people in the kitchen can read or understand what no onion crisps means. Back to the restaurant for another refund.
Also, the first time when the guy refunded it he said he wasn't allowed to take the food back and this time they took the food back. Either way it doesn't matter to me because I'm not going to eat it but there is no consistency except for the consistency of not listening to the customer and giving them the order...
Read moreI’ve come to this Zaxby’s several times and the manager was always nice to me. However, today is the day I decided I’ll never eat here again. My wife and I ordered salads and a basket of fries. She asked the manager to repeat the order and he did, correctly. She grabbed our food and headed home (about 15 min away). When she got home, to our dismay, both salads were incorrect. Also , the fries (that she specifically asked to be made fresh) were cold and nasty. We called and told them of their mistake and they said to come back and they would remake the food. They remade the salads and surprisingly, they made them wrong again. We asked about the fries. They told us we’d have to pay for a batch of fresh fries. I’m very disappointed in the way we were mishandled this evening and I will not be coming here again. I’ve dealt with their food being lukewarm before, just because the customer service was top tier. After tonight, even that has decreased. Not to mention, the cashier didn’t print us a receipt and so when we asked for a refund, they ended up printing off someone else’s receipt and handing it to us with the “refund” for that order. That order was $3 less than what ours actually was. My wife came around 5ish (pm). The ticket we received was closed out @ 6:27pm. Smh. I pray...
