We love Zaxby's and come to this location because it's the closest location from our house. During the afternoon, the customer service and quality of food is satisfactory. This is our second visit on night-shift and our overall experience is a disappointment. The employees give off a demeanor that they either do not want to be there or seem confused due to being new to the company. We pull up to the drive through to order our food and the lady over the mic doesn't sound pleasant and spoke very "direct" if I had to describe it. We pull up to the drive through window to receive our order and the lady states that they've ran out of DR.PEPPER.
No biggie, we decided to ask for sweet-tea, again the lady says we are out. Okay... How about root beer? "Yes, we have root beer". The drive through window was shut and said "one moment for your drink". We wait for at least a good five minutes before they opened the window to give us our drink. Funny thing, it is the Dr.Pepper that we originally wanted that they claimed to be out of. Confused on how we had waited so long for a drink but was able to retrieve our food within seconds upon arrival at the drive through window. We decided to ask for sauces before our trip back to the house, they responded "That will be fifty-cents". Of course, we didn't have fifty-cents and decided we could make due without it. The employee turns around and hands us the sauce stating "oh, you can have the sauce, sorry for the wait".
I don't know if this is just pure laziness or the inability to communicate with one another within their establishment. How do you run out of all of the drinks we ask for, then suddenly give us the drink that we have originally ask for in the first place? Altogether, we waited for nearly twenty-minutes to receive one meal and a drink. I believe that they can do better than this and hope to see this place correct it's...
Read morePlaced an order online and did not receive a confirmation email. I checked my account to make sure no charge posted. Waiting exactly 17 minutes, checked my account again...still no charge. So I placed my online order AGAIN, but still no confirmation email. Then I immediately (within 30 seconds of submitting the order) checked my account again only to find that TWO charges were now posted with exactly the same time stamp. I called the store to verify the orders were showing in their system. The employee informed me there were no orders showing in the system. I asked her what I am supposed to do about the charges on my card, and she told me "that I have to take it up with them, we have no control over that." Take it up with who? I'm not sure....but clearly not the store where I placed the order. Was not provided a contact number, any direction, nothing. I asked if she would take me order over the phone. She told me no because my order was under $25. I asked her if a manager could authorize it given all the difficulty and inconvenience with this experience, and she placed me on hold so she could check with the manager. The manager would still not authorize a simple phone order. Kept being told "we're not busy right now" even though I informed her I cannot come to the store right away...hence why I was placing an online order. Why offer the service if the store will not accommodate the service? Very poor response on management's part. If the store was "not busy," there is absolutely no reason they could not have made an exception to take my order over the phone for TWO simple salads. Read moreSo I accidentally ordered pick up when I meant to order delivery. I called the store. The person who answered it said they don't do refunds after they've bagged the order and that I should call corporate. Spoilers: All Zaxby's are FRANCHISES.
Then, they left my order on the cold counter when I said I'd have my husband go to pick up. It was sitting there when he got there rather than even in the NOT-HOTBOX where pick up orders are placed.
The manager was incredibly rude and difficult to my husband. He wound up reordering the exact same thing so I'd be able to have hot food and he's going to eat the cold food they left on the counter. The manager also didn't know that on the Zaxby's website itself, you can order pick up OR delivery on it. Yes, they deliver through a third-party service, but you can order from the official Zaxby's website.
Correction: cold Zaxby's left on the counter was not edible.
I'm sure she knew it was possible to cancel the order so I could put it in as delivery. I'd have been fine if they'd given the already bagged ordered to the delivery driver. Seriously. I can admit when I messed up.
This is after a side, two chicken tenders, and a shake were forgotten in a previous order despite that it was on the ticket. When I called the store, someone who wasn't a manager said to make sure I came on the weekend when they worked and they'd make sure I got it. Like... what???
