Blue Star Cafe — Restaurant in Gibson City

My daughter had an appointment in Gibson City that we were early for. I looked for a diner online and found this place. It was a little hard to find. They do not have proper sineage by the street. They have a sign on their side door. It's a little confusing and was frustrated to drive past it a couple times. Just want you guys to know if you're driving around looking for it.

When we got in we were greeted by the kindest waitstaff. They let us pick a table. There was ample seating and not too busy. I only had $10 to buy my daughter (6y) lunch. It was easily done. She got a hotdogs, fries, and sprite for just under $7.00. It was plenty enough. The waitress was very kind when I declined a drink and meal and brought me some water. My daughter said they were the best fries she's ever had and the hotdog was good as well. The meal came quickly.

2nd time within a few months I've had a bad experience here. Used to be one of my favorite 'lil small town restaurants, but not anymore. 1st instance they got my order completely wrong- twice, even after repeating it. Which made it impossible to enjoy lunch with my niece, if she didn't want her food to get cold & they attempted absolutely nothing to make this situation right. Very frustrating to say the least. Then this morning I ordered a Mexican breakfast, which normally comes with Eggs, Chorizo, Peppers, Onions, & Cheese, ONLY to get it home (20 mins or more away) to find there's absolutely NO meat in it!!! Try their tacos! They use alot of fresh food. Probably the best service you will get in town. Good prices and large plates! Update: Today I went in and ordered my food. The new waitress took my order, asked what side i wanted and when she brought it to the table she then told me that my meal doesnt include a side and charged me for it anyway.
