I ordered a ham and cheddar cheese omelet, hash browns, wheat toast with grape jelly, and a coffee. My food comes out its American cheese instead of cheddar and she brought out strawberry jelly. They took back the omelet brought out another one where they added green peppers. I tell the waitress I didn't order green peppers so she snatches the plate and starts complaining.
I'm sorry you don't like your job but, to make me feel uncomfortable and make me feel like it's my fault is not ok. So I got up and walked out.
Almost every time we have come here there are issues. Definitely DO NOT EVER EXPECT REFILLS ON YOUR DRINKS or much service. Especially after they bring the food to your table.
Last week my wife stopped in on her lunch break to order soup and salad to go and the waitress was rude and acted like my wife was putting her out of her way to do her job. The waitress had an attitude. My wife also left and took her business elsewhere.
I think these last few visits has discouraged us from returning at least in the near future. I work hard for my money and would like decent service. Sometimes listening and checking that the order is correct can really prevent...
Read moreVisited today for lunch while on a work trip. Had the patty melt. Burger was so chewy I couldn’t even eat it. The quality of food was poor…cafeteria like….except the soup which was decent. Service was ok but we asked to have two separate checks. The ticket was literally torn in half in front of us then the server walked away. We thought it was a joke but it wasn't. My friend ordered a sandwich only, no fries or soup and was charged full price for the “combo”, meat on her Rueben was also chewy and almost inedible. Owner walked by and grabbed a handful of cash and receipts from the register and approached our waitress and yelled “no one is stealing money…it was right there in the drawer" and then stomped away right in front of us eating lunch. Overall not a good experience and menu is overpriced. Defiinitely will...
Read moreA setting akin to Mayberry RFD. I may be dating myself but the Country Kettle is the place to feast at with a palette open to good ole fashioned home cooked meals. Their menu is delightful and offers everything from fried chicken to pasta to fish. Then finish off a great meal with a piece of homemade peach cobbler. The restaurant offers daily specials and all you can eat meals. It's a little off the beaten path but well worth the drive for a great meal fairly priced, an appetizer or two or a great homemade desert. The owners and patrons are truly a venture into the past with an attitude to serve and a welcoming disposition. I love eating at the Country Kettle when ever I'm in town. Happy...
