A friend of mine gave me a bad review of monicals in Gibson city but I decided to go ahead and try it out for myself. My daughter and I went there on Tuesday September 8th at 415pm. There was two employees working one being the supervisor. He himself ignored us when we walked in and after I half as jokingly told the other guy we wanted to eat in he sat us and said he be back in a minute never to return. The manager finally came out and said to us when you want to order I'll be at the counter. At 427 we went up place out order of almost 33 dollars for the two of us. Got our drinks after a few minutes. Then the appetizer we ordered. No employee ever came out to see if we were doing OK or needed refill. Finally at 510 this manager guys brings out the calzones we ordered. Totally burned black on the edges and dark brown in the middle. As I complained to the manager about the burnt food he said I'll have him make you some new ones at which time he informed me that was the second set that the cook had burned for us. I demanded my money back and left the store. If I could rate this place with half a star I would. The only good thing about that place was the sweet tea. You couldn't pay me...
Read moreI was in Gibson as a school bus driver bringing athletes for an event. Needless to say, I got blocked in and could not drive to get McDonald's or Subway food. I was at the mercy of delivery, so Monicals was up to bat in bringing me something to eat. I ordered an individual veggie pizza pleaser (get drink and salad) for little more money. Was definitely more than I wanted to spend but I was hungry, so food came on time would have been sooner but had a little confusion on where exactly the bus was parked. Pizza was warm and delicious, drink was cold and salad look great only problem is they forgot a fork. So, no fork no five star. I would order again even though they...
Read moreI guess the locals are leaving good reviews for reasons other than truly good pizza. Not being a local, I can say the buffet was awful. All the pizza is thin crust with a tough to chew, overcooked quality and not much flavor. There were two kinds of pasta, one tasted like it was leftover and reheated and the other was mixed with pizza sauce that was dry enough that I had to shake it off the spoon into my plate. The bread sticks are undercooked pizza dough loaded with salt. After tripping over the extension cords running all over the floor, I left hungry. Cicis pizza makes a better pie and that's not...
