I gave this place a 5-star review previously, however, I had to take away a star because of two instances where my drink orders were wrong due to cashier error. The first one was when my partner ordered his usual drink and the person at the register assumed he didn't want boba. That problem was remedied quickly and apologies were exchanged. Okay, problem solved, right?
I disagree. I went there just now and ordered three drinks. I sneezed as I paid but I said after I collected myself, "you can keep the change," NOT to cancel my drink order. At the pickup window I only saw two drinks made for me. I was charged for a third even though I had a free drink via stamp card and I didn't have enough to make the difference. It was kind of a stranger to cover the difference, which contributed to the positive ambiance and the overall great vibes of the place. However, it was embarrassing on my part when I couldn't even pay for my own drinks due to a misunderstanding. What an inconvenience.
I understand that people have to start working somewhere to get experience, but this is the second time my drinks were wrong because the person assumed rather than clarify. I left feeling humiliated and angry.
Nevertheless, the owner is phenomenal in drink making, advertising, and remembering names and drink orders! He also is genuinely interested in your life and loves to assist people who just want to try boba tea for the first time.
I will return, however, I'm going to need a better experience than from...
Read moreFirst things first. popping playlist. All the latest GOOD hits playing, we loved that. Another thing good thing the bestie and I loved was that they had interesting flavors. They had more flavors than just the normal strawberry or chocolate flavors. The negative was that they were out of boba when we got there! They were making a new batch and it'd be about 20 minutes for it to be done. Now, I love me a good boba drink but it's not worth waiting 20 minutes for, especially for drinks in which we didn't even know if they'd be good. Plus we had a movie to catch so we couldn't have waited even if we wanted to.
The drinks themselves were good - and the cups they came in were durable for multiple time use, so that was different from any other place we've been to. They also had a punch card system where you buy so many drinks and get the last one free. I wish more places did that cause we love boba and we love to try out new places. The price wasn't worth the size though. The cup wasn't that tall and it was skinny so I wonder how much product you really got, and it was over $6 (without any boba too!!)
The staff was really nice though and the guy who made the drinks and served them up asked for us to let him know how we liked the drinks - as we told him it was our first time there. A pretty pleasant experience but I don't think we could give up going to cha tea every weekend...
Read morePhenomenal! I always like to try new spots when I can. I stumbled upon Mr. Lee and Bobazing over a year ago and it of course has been a go to ever since. The Bobazing team always provides not only the best drinks around but a great atmosphere at anytime of the day. I realized I had never left a review from the dozens of times I have been. It never gets old watching the Mr. Lee and the team remember nearly every single person by name, their order, and whatever they had talked about from their previous visit, and yes even if months went by between them. The Bobazing team genuinely cares about each person and it shows without a doubt. Always have great conversations with their team and cannot understate how rare it is these days to have a team of people enjoying what they do. I am sure no one even needs convincing to stop in if they haven't already as the reviews speak for itself. I have watched people who come from out of state make sure they stop in when they are in town before leaving. Absolutely awesome, keep up the amazing energy and quality...
