This was my first visit to any Buffalo Wild Wings and I'd have to say my visit was underwhelming at best. The restaurant was maybe half full around 1pm when I stopped by and was greeted by no one at the hostess stand. My son and I sat there for probably a good 3 to 4 minutes before being greeted and seated.
We then were at our table for probably a good 5 to 10 mins before someone came to take our order. What crawled under my skin a little was that people who arrived and were seated after us had there orders taken before ours. I was honestly ready to leave but my son insisted we stayed because he wanted me to try the food and stated that this is usually the level of service you get and should expect at BWW. I acquiesced to his request to stay.
Finally our server came she was nice and everything and took our order but made the odd choice to ask if we wanted our appetizer before our main courses or at the same time. Not a bad thing per se but my son and I were confused as to why we'd want the app with our mains but it's whatever. Maybe that's something common at BWW I've just never been asked that before at any restaurant.
Our app came which was the hatch queso which was a suggestion of my son. It was OK, nothing I'd go out of my way for, but what struck me as odd again was the smallish size of dip compared to the massive amount of tortilla chips that it came with. I'm a big guy and my son is on the heavy side as well but we probably had a third of the chips left after the dip was done and we had no intentions on finishing just plain chips like that. Again not necessarily bad but but seems like a waste of food to me.
It was at this point I realized that they hadn't given us any silverware or napkins and while trying to flag a waitress down for 3 or 4 mins my son's entree arrived. I asked that waitperson for flatwear and napkins. He brought separately the flatwear then walked all the way back and got the napkins. Seemed to me like he could of made one trip but again not bad just kinda odd.
My son starts to eat and I realize I hadn't got my entree yet. Our oringal waitress came back to check on our experience so far and before I could ask about where my food was she was gone. I feel like she was more on autopilot then actually engaged in what she was doing. I waited another probably 5 or 6 mins and my food arrived.
Food was OK I had wings my son had a burger. The wings were just ok. Nothing special, nothing I'd come back for.
The one thing I can say is the part of the meal that was delivered very quickly was the check. It was again odd to me that the rest of the service felt lackadaisical but they got thag check to me asap. Not complaining beleive me with the experience I had I was ready to leave and most likely never return but the waitress forgot to give me a pen so I had to hunt her down for one.
To recap:
Waited to be seated at an unmanned host station Waited at the table while other who were seated after were taken care of first Odd waitstaff My son's burger came out 5 to 6 mins before my entree Food unremarkable and forgettable Felt rushed to pay and leave Waitress didn't give a pen with my check at the end of the meal for me to finish my transaction.
All in all my first experience seems like it will be my last. Sorry...

They're running a special that brought us back. We've been to Buffalo Wild Wings plenty of times before. The food is good and the service is friendly.
The wings are obviously the house specialty and are excellent. The cheeseburger is great, but the pickles are weird. The onion rings are big and don't fall apart, if you bite them with your back teeth.
The ultimate nachos are...fine. The serving is huge, I'll give them that, but only the top layer has cheese baked on. The cheese itself is just grated cheese--there's no nacho sauce, and the majority of the chips are naked. There are lots of jalapeños and pico to scoop up, but it's not really nachos if there's no cheese on the chips. And the teeny ramekin of salsa is nowhere near enough for the large serving of chips. We enjoyed about half of the nachos but we won't order those again. I can make much better nachos at home, and there's enough toppings and salsa for everyone. Still, they're fine. I'm glad they had $5 appetizers for happy hour.
The atmosphere kinda made me laugh. There were a few people waiting to be seated when we left, but it was not busy when we got there. About half of the tables were empty, but they made us wait a minute, as though they needed to find a place to squeeze us in. I guess they didn't realize we'd be walking right past the empty tables on the way to our seats. The music in there is really loud and it made me realize why some places do that--to make it seem busier than it is. There's a restaurant in Phoenix that we don't go to anymore at all because their music is cranked up so loud we can't even talk to each other. The music itself was fine, but it's not a bar and there's no dance floor. Eating at a restaurant shouldn't have to end with a migraine. You guys don't need the music that loud. It should be in the background, loud enough to hear, but the customers should be able to enjoy one another's company while they sit down to share a meal together.
We had a fun time and our server was attentive. I heard a few people saying they were cold, but I thought the temp in there was perfectly...
Read moreSCAM ALERT SCAM ALERT SCAM ALERT. My family and I LOVE buffalo wild wings. We go to Buffalo Wild Wings pretty often but we usually do not go to this location, we usually go to the location at chandler mall. But at the beginning of this month we were down near this location and we craved some wings so we decided to stop by at this Buffalo Wild Wings. This was one of the worst decisions we have made. I was notified by my banks fraud department the following morning. They said they had cancelled not two, three but four transactions that Buffalo Wild Wings had tried to charge me. One of the transactions was for 100 dollars. We called the GM she had tried to blame this on our end saying that their system was offline and the card was declined (basically saying I have no money) and that their is no possible way this is their fault. First of all I called THEM to let them know MY fraud department notified me. Me being a law abiding citizen I told them I would be more than gladly to pay for it, once everything was resolved by my bank. The GM not being satisfied she decides to harass me with phone calls to go out of MY way and pay them for their mistake. At this point I would just like for general public to be aware of what is being done at this location. Being angry that this happened and had been called practically a Dead Beat to my face I called the other buffalo at Chandler Mall to see if their excuse even made sense. One of the staff members felt my frustration and understood the situation and showed true empathy for it. This person even offered an apology that the other Buffalo was not even willing to do. In my eyes thats how you treat a customer. At that moment I remembered why I usually go to the Buffalo at chandler mall because they always show true quality service. Per this experience I will now go out of my way to go to the Buffalo Wild Wings at chandler fashion, where the experience their is worth...
