My wife and I love trying new places and we know quite a few peoiple who love CB&CB and this location just recently opened, so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I can't say that we're looking forward to a second visit. When we arrived around 6:20 PM, there were two other parties of 2-4 people ahead of us, so we proceeded to put our name on the list and the hostess took down my wife's cell # to alert us when a table was ready. However, as we looked around, I counted 3-4 empty tables, so we were confused as to why there were others still waiting. Nevertheless, while we were waiting, my wife wanted to sit down as she has been working through an ankle injury but there were no places to sit in the waiting area, so she casually grabbed a seat at the nearest empty table where we waited to be "seated" for about 30 minutes and watched the Pacers-Thunder game. I asked my wife several times if she'd like to walk over to BWW next door as that was our initial destination, but she declined as we both had really wanted to try CB&CB. By the time her phone alerted her that a table was ready for us, I counted eight open tables and five other parties still waiting to be seated. I also noticed several open seats open at the bar as well as several guys appearing to be asking to sit at the bar but the bartender appeared to be turning people away in an assertive manner. Ironically, they ended up seating us at the same open table near the entrance that my wife had been sitting at the entire time. Our server, who seemed very friendly and welcoming, showed up within several minutes of sitting down and took our drink order. After waiting for about 10 minutes for our drinks to show up, we were ready to order. My wife ordered the chicken strips with fries and I ordered the French dip with fries. Our food showed up another 10 minutes later, so at this point we're about an hour into our visit. After a couple bites, our server stopped at our table to check on us and my wife asked for a side of honey mustard for her chicken strips. We continued to eat our food, which tasted great, but ended up finishing our meals by the time the honey mustard showed up. Our server also never offered any additional drinks/refills. Then, another 10 minutes or so went by and our server showed up again and we asked for a box (for the other half of my sandwich) and the check. She didn't bring the check, but instead grabbed my card that I had placed on the table in front of me and she walked away. When she came back, she didn't offer anything else, just a "thanks for coming in; have a great night." I proceeded to look at the check and she had charged me extra for the fries that came with my sandwich. I thought this was bizarre as she never mentioned that the sandwich didn't include a side and all she asked me was "what side do you want with your order?" Maybe this is just the way they operate, but my wife and I love dining out and do so regularly and every other restaurant we've visited usually includes fries with a sandwich or burger. My wife wanted me to ask for the manager and express our dissatisfaction with our experience, but we just aren't the type of people to complain in the middle of a dinner rush. It goes without saying that the visit was a disappointment and what was our first visit will probably be our last. I hope they can turn things around and create a better experience for others and so that they don't end up closing down like the last 3-4 restaurants that previously occupied this building.

We've been here once before, and it was fine. This time we went yesterday around 3: 30 pm. It was fairly dead, however it took over 10 minutes for our server to show up. She was not very friendly and issued no apology for keeping us waiting. We mentioned that our table was dirty and could she please wipe it off. It took another 10 minutes by the time she got the wash rag, wiped it off, then came back. We finally ordered some drinks, which also took over 10 minutes. Then we ordered an appetizer, you guessed it another 10 minutes to come take our order. Our food took over 20 minutes to come out and it just was not good. My Bleu Bacon burger had zero Bleu cheese flavor and was cooked well done when I ordered it medium. My daughter ordered the Buffalo Chicken, which had almost zero buffalo sauce. The server apologized a bit for it taking so long, stating there was a shift change. Given the hefty price of this place for burgers, we won't be coming back anytime soon.

I had an issue with the way one of the 3 burgers I ordered was cooked plus was missing extra ranches I paid for in advance. I’ve never encountered such malicious people enraged that I would politely complain about something being wrong. The burger I received in exchange, which was supposed to be red, was clearly maliciously undercooked, one side didn’t even hit the grill. The entire burger is raw, this is a legal food safety issue and will be followed up w/ appropriately. Secondly, once I mentioned this issue and the dance to the hostess, she immediately withdrew all basic social skills and became rude but in a strange toddler like manner. She literally kicked her arms and fists out and grunted when I had her go get my ranch. These people are the most unrealistically malicious people I’ve encountered at any restaurant in Arizona. I NEVER wish this on any business but I genuinely hope this locations shuts its doors soon.

So yesterday I went to eat at cold beers and cheeseburgers with a couple of my friends I was celebrating a birthday and kept it low-key. My waitress was Alex she was very nice and was very knowledgeable of the menu. It was kind of busy not crazy busy but busy enough that the servers were on their toes. We sat outside in the patio right at the entrance. The food was great we drank a juicy Jack which I apparently is a local beer wehad the fried pickles for a starter and my buddy and I had a bacon blue Burger I also added a side salad with my order because I was really hungry. Our server didn't bring everything that we asked when she did come check on us she did have several tables that might have been part of it but she was very nice the food was good I had a good time so that outweighed the lack of complete great service that we should have got. I still gave her a fairly decent tip way more than she should have got but I was in a good mood hanging out with good friends. I used to wait tables myself so I know the importance of giving great service luckily Alex was very friendly and she did bring us the main things that we asked for she just didn't bring me a side of blue cheese like I asked fors she didn't bring us water like we had asked for until I asked her again and she brought me a water but we were so busy talking to each other that we didn't really stress it and I was a little heat exhausted from being at the lake all day. If the managers and the servers can just do a little bit better at being attentive. I didn't walk around and check out the entire restaurant but it did seem like she had to walk quite a distance to get what we asked for and I'm going to assume that she had to ask the kitchen staff for any sides like dressings and stuff that we wanted on top of her attending to about three or four other tables. We were going to sit on a different side of the patio but we decided to sit right at the entrance because of the positions of the TVs maybe that's why she didn't get to us as good because we stacked her when if we would have got a different waitress it probably would have been more even as far as tables for each server. Anyway that's my take the burgers are awesome I recommend it I think their starter menu could be a little better...for three people I paid over $120. Not including the tip which was very generous. The have clean bathrooms but it was hot as hell in there. I could imagine using the restroom in the dead of Summer it would probably feel like a sauna and a cesspool combined with the smell of doo doo and pee. I recommend going for an early lunch or an early dinner not in the evening when it starts to get really busy. Because the service might not be the best but I cannot say nothing negative about the food it is absolutely delicious and that is why I would not hesitate to go back to cold beers and cheeseburgers. And they have tons of beers on tap. The juicy Jack was light had a citrusy no to it and I would definitely drink it again I had two of them so was...

I don’t think it will have occurred to us visiting Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers (CB&C) any time in the near future, as any of my review readers can attest, I am not one for Sports Bars, (yet willing to try them) especially unvarying and unexceptional chain sports bars. Particularly when they have at least eleven such local outposts in the Metro Valley Area. I have to say that SquareOne Concepts has come up with THE pervasive style of bar scene with total lack of exceptionality, yet they seem to get good sized crowds, and I have to say great French fries! If not for recently gifted gift card to CB&C, we may never have come. First, the place is very sterile, lacking in personality, and barren of any character whatsoever. Second, service seems moderate, but uncaring. No hello upon entering, no goodbye let alone thank you when leaving. Our server was good within the confines of what she has to work with – bless her. In our first and recent visit to this location we did not have much of a choice ‘cause everything is basically saloon or stadium eats, nothing but bar food. With things with names like BaconLT, Phoenix Philly, Nashville Chicken or Cincinnati Dog! We thought we’d give it a chance with some basics like fried pickles, a hot dog and a Reuben with some drinks. The Fried Pickles were so over battered and salty you could barely distinguish the pickle, with dreadfully tasting chipotle dipping sauce, needless to say we sent it back… a Hot Dog (the Cincinnati) an extremely charred jumbo split dog along with almost no discernable hint of beef chili, yet plenty of onions with some shredded cheddar, which was served with not very good sweet potato fries. And then there’s my Reuben (the California Reuben) with charred edged spam-like tasting pastrami, nicely melted Swiss cheese, a wet and sloppy coleslaw that inundated my sammich, along with some Wishbone 1000 island dressing – but I must say, the sourdough bread was pretty darn good. I must add that the Arnold Palmer my wife ordered was watered down to tasteless! My Pacifico beer pint was iced cold and great! In closing, I don’t think we’re fans. CB&C didn’t seem to go out of their way to create our customer satisfaction, so I don’t think we as customers can go out of our way to...
