Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Gilbert

I went to this location on Fri., Sept 26th. I arrived around 11:40. There was one person ahead of me. The young girl with reddish hair was flatlined in expression and moving slower than a turtle. It took at least 10 minutes to finish that order even from the time I arrived. When she got to us, same expression. We ordered a steak bowl, a veggie bowl, a quesadilla, and two kids meals. Prime lunch time but they were already out of brown rice. I watched as the girl put the lid on the veggie bowl without the veggies. I asked her if she was planning on putting the veggies in the veggie bowl. She acted dumbfounded and went and talked to someone in back. She returned and stated it would take 3 minutes for the veggies and put the lid back on the bowl telling us to wait to the side for them. We paid and waited....and waited... 15 minutes later I inquired and again was met with a blank stare by a young black woman who said veggies take 3 minutes. I told her, right, we've been waiting 15 already. She just turned and ignored me. Another 10 minutes passed and I saw someone just then put veggies on the grill!!! Another 5 minutes or so passed and someone brought me the tiniest little cup of veggies! I asked to speak to a manager and was met with yet another blank stare repeating, you want to talk to a manager? When I said yes, a few minutes later, the young black girl I'd spoken to previously walked up to me with yet another expressionless face. When I told her the time I'd been waiting, basically 45 minutes, and explained now all our other food was cold, only to have waited for this teeny cup of veggies, she basically reiterated the time increments I'd given her for waiting and said she was confused, did I wait 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 45 minutes? I explained 45 in total which she already had to have known as we were standing right in front of where she had been working. At that point she stated, what do you want me to do about it, with a very flippant tone. It was then I said apparently nothing as you clearly don't care, and proceeded to leave stating I would never be back to that location. Again, I state here, NEVER WILL I EVER return to this location. Worst experience ever! Consumer be forewarned...

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!!!!!!!!!! BOTH ME AND MY FRIEND GOT FOOD POISONING ON DIFFERENT DAYS! My friend heard this chipotle location finally opened and decided to order from here. This was about 3 weeks prior to when I went. They woke up the next day with severe diarrhea that lasted 2 to 3 days and it wasn’t just like normal diarrhea. It was intense, intense diarrhea that could only be caused by food poisoning. Three weeks later, I decided that I want to order chipotle and when you order through the app, you can’t decide which chipotle they choose your food to come from, and unfortunately, mine came from the same location. Since I couldn’t do anything about it, I ate the bowl and I woke up with the exact same food poisoning, diarrhea symptoms so intense I am still suffering and I cannot eat anything today. Every time I drink water it just comes out. DO NOT EAT from this location, I stress from the bottom of my heart do not eat from this location. Somebody must not be washing their hands right or food safety rules are not being...

We use to really love going to Chipotle. I think either the management at this Chipotle is either not great or the franchise owner is not managing the locations. This location being a newer location should have all the new Chipotle vibes but it has some major dings. The bathroom smells like urine and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a week. The chips are stale and the rice tastes old like it was used from the day before. It seems that a lot of corners are being cut. I ordered a kids size cheese quesadilla with no sides (no meat)and they said that it was $5 even though in almost every other Chipotle that we’ve been to in California, Nevada and Arizona it’s $1.68. The crazy part was that they said it was because of ingredient costs. The kids quesadilla is the tortilla used in a taco without the filling. You can get a side full sized tortilla and a side of cheese (bigger portion) and it’s actually cheaper than the “side kids quesadilla”. Lol.
