My Mom, my daughter and I were visiting Gilbert for the weekend 3/14-3/16/25 for my Uncle’s Memorial (he passed in April 2024). We stopped at Dutch Brothers on Higley because the nearest one to us is about 20 miles away in CA. We stopped, saw the line and took a chance and a few more moments (we were driving 6 hours so what was 10-20 minutes more?) to have a real conversation with Alex at the window and answered the question: “What is the most important thing you’ve ever done?” You’re kidding, right? We laughed, we cried—-I cried—-and laughed some more. It will change and brighten your day as it did mine, if you are open and let it. If you’re in a hurry, slow down. Take time, talk to people, the young and the “young at heart” because you might learn something or hear something new, interesting and insightful. To those who waited behind us, thanks so much for your kindness, waiting patiently and not honking! The Golden Eagle was delicious. We arrived home safely. We will return to this Dutch Brothers and continue the...
Read moreI frequent Dutch Brothers at least once daily. While I've encountered both excellent and mediocre customer service, the level of incompetence at this particular location is unparalleled. The sheer audacity of the staff to confront customers and demand calmness is astonishing. Today, as I approached the counter, there was a young boy ahead of me who hadn't been attended to. Despite my inquiry about his order, we were both left waiting for an unreasonable amount of time before being acknowledged. When I voiced my concern about the delay, the barista seemed to take offense. As a consequence, she made me wait even longer, claiming a machine malfunction for the delay in my drink. After enduring additional wait time, I dared to inquire about my order, sparking an uproar. At that juncture, I demanded a refund due to the unreasonably long wait. Surprisingly, it took the manager even longer to process a mere $10 refund, a task that should have been completed in seconds, squandering my...
Read moreThere wasn’t that many people in line this morning so I don’t see why it was an issue. I ordered two medium drinks and wanted to upgrade one to a large, I get to the window and ask her if it was okay if I could upgrade it she looked at me for a second then turned back to her team member said it very loudly a rudely then proceeded to turn back around to look at me with attitude telling she was just going to refund me the medium and charge me for the large. Then didn’t say a single word to me the rest of the time at the window handed me my drinks and I was on my way. Normally Dutch Bros is the best experience with the awesome conversations at the window but today I felt like a burden or just another annoying customer at the window. Just wanted a large upgrade without the side of attitude. Makes me not want to go to...
