Not real Mexican food. More like American Food with a Mexican twist. Food was cold. They don't heat up their tortillas? My friend was telling me about this place and how did the tacos were. I ordered a brisket burrito and a carnitas taco in a corn tortilla. I got a taco because people were telling me they have great tacos. Of course I had to try it. The carnitas Taco was horrible. The tortilla was cold... Like actually COLD. There was barely any carnita in the taco. MOSTLY made of lettuce. Overpriced for what you get... A lettuce taco. 1/5 The brisket burrito was much better. It wasn't hot or cold. I wouldn't really say it was even warm. I mean you can tell there was some warmth to it. Not enough warmth to melt or soften the sprinkle of shredded cheese in the burrito. 2/5 For my first time at the restaurant it was very confusing. They have a bar and a dining area. But you order near or at the bar before you sit down? It was very confusing and the person who took my order was not very patient after I told them I've never been there and I'm not exactly sure how it worked. He didn't care to explain it to me. I asked if they have something and he said yes it's on the menu pointed at the menu and I looked and I couldn't see it. I asked him if he can point to it and he looked annoyed and pointed at the Baja tacos. All I wanted to know is if they had a single carne asada taco. If so that's what I wanted. I felt pressured and couldn't see that option so that's how I ended up with the carnita taco. When it came to payment it was even more awkward. I'm looking at him with my card in hand and he's neither taking it or telling me to swipe. Finally after 20-30 seconds he takes the card and swipes it. It was pretty awkward. Customer service 2/5 Their soda machine dispensed cold soda. I give that a 5 out of 5. Oh, and I did try their mango tea. You can tell it was fresh! Another 5 out of 5 for fresh tea.
Will I ever eat there again? Yes. I'll give it another try. Maybe try their quesadillas or enchiladas. Those must be hot or warm. Maybe next time I'll try...
Read moreMyself and my entire family are loyal customers at Fuzzy’s Tacos Gilbert, AZ. We spend quite a bit of money there, however recent experiences have me questioning why we continue to come back.
Yesterday I ordered “lettuce and Pico de Gallo” to go. I let the server know I could order a salad to go if that would be easier, however she assured me ordering a side of lettuce was no problem. She brought out a small tin to ask if the amount was sufficient. I said, “Yes, great.” I then received my to go bag and the bill. I was charged $9.18 for a side of lettuce, which was rang in as “Large Guacamole-Sub Lettuce.” Additionally, I was charged “Guacamole - 2 @ 4.59 sub Pico de Gallo $9.18.” Begs the question, is guacamole $4.59 or is it $9.19? Rather, it seems it is arbitrary and up to whomever wants to make up pricing at the moment. When I questioned the server she stated, “I did not even know we had a large guacamole!” I then proceeded to share that it was absurd to charge me for guacamole and sub lettuce (iceberg) at $9.19 and to have two different prices for guacamole on the same receipt to substitute items for. She simply said, “That is what the manager told her to ring in.” The manager making the decision was Hugo- who is always a disappointment. I paid the bill, however I will not continue to spend my money at an establishment that chooses to take advantage of loyal and long time customers simply because they can. There is a plethora of places to eat and drink in Gilbert, which makes choosing Fuzzy’s Taco more...
Read moreFirst time at this restaurant and unfortunately probably the last. Walked in and it resembles a sit down table service restaurant/ bar, so I stand in front waiting for someone to show me to a table. Another person was waiting also and finally asked if I knew what was supposed to happen. We walked up to bar where there were 2 employees in plain sight of where we were standing and never acknowledged us or said that we had to come up to bar to order. After ordering I'm given a buzzer and told where to pickup my food. I don't drink soft drinks so I let them know immediately the unsweetened ice tea was out. After getting my food and eating, about 15 minutes and I go up and ask if they're getting the iced tea. They finally go look and begin to do whatever is needed, but at this point I'm finished eating and ready to leave. I paid for a large iced tea for nothing. Food and atmosphere was ok, nothing special for the price paid. Everything is self service, except for bar alcohol drinks, but yet there's a line item for a tip on the receipt when you order. No thanks... I'm nor tipping when everything is self service and can't even get a drink after I let you know...
