Ordered take out from here tonight for the first time. Food came very quickly and we were hopeful but it wasn't to be. We ordered the steamed dumplings, sliced BBQ pork, House Special Chicken & Orange Chicken. The steamed dumplings were stuffed with ground chicken and green onion (I think) but they weren't tasty at all. Very bland. The dipping sauce that came with them was like a teriyaki sauce but spicy, too spicy for me to eat. The sliced bbq roast pork was very good, except it had sesame seeds sprinkled all over them and due to a stomach issue, I can't eat seeds so I was only able to eat a few pieces, but again very good. The two chicken dishes looked identical. Both had little fried pieces of chicken and no vegetables. So basically we got two of the same dish only one had a light orange sauce on it and the other came with a side of some kind of brown sauce that tasted a bit like oyster sauce but had weird black dots in it. On the menu it says it's an onion/garlic sauce but didn't taste like either. It also didn't taste very good. So basically I ate the chicken nuggets which seemed to have too much breading on them.. Hubby was disappointed with his orange chicken, again because it had no vegetables. I've never ordered food from a restaurant that didn't come with veggies so big disappointment. Also, I had originally wanted to order spare ribs but they don't have them on the menu here. What kind of Chinese restaurant doesn't have spare ribs? We didn't care for their food at all, we won't be ordering there again...
Read moreSix years ago China China broke my heart when they announced that they would not reopen after a kitchen fire. I love Chinese food like most Arizonians love Mexican food. So for the last six years I have been in search of a new Chinese Restaurant to get my beloved Moo Goo Gai Pan. I have finally found it! I ordered the Moo Goo Gai Pan the sauce was a little plain for my taste but still better than all the other Chinese restaurants in Mesa, North Chandler, Tempe, and North Gilbert. The Egg Foo Young was to die for. Even as leftovers people were salivating over it. The crab puffs are also amazing. The orange chicken was a hit as well. The prices were great for such a large portion. I was a very popular person when I brought this massive Chinese order over to all my friends. We all declared Happy Kitchen as a winner! I have a feeling they will come to know me as well as all the workers in China China... what can I say I love Chinese food! I promise to update this post with pictures from my next trip to...
Read moreBoy have things changed. Since the pandemic they have raised their prices but they have smaller portions on particular items. For instance order some wonton soup and see what I mean......there is plenty of wonton...but no soup. They actually wanted to charge me extra for the crackers and wanted me to pay for a second order when I asked for them to actually put some broth in the soup. I've never seen such a thing. This was always one of my favorite choices (Asian Station is my first) but little by little since the pandemic I have been noticing a change and this is one of them.
In the response from the owner as you can see they wanted me to pay for a second order when all I asked for is more broth in the soup. Has the cost of chicken soup broth doubled so that I how have to order a second order? Why you cannot just make the first order properly? If your supply prices go up then use another supplier, do not charge more to...
