McDonald's — Restaurant in Gilbert

Decided to stop in and see the new MickyD’s. A BIG disappointment! Zero cars in the parking lot, tell #1. Zero people inside restaurant, tell # 2. Zero employees coming out of the back to attain your order, tell #3. Completed our order in the self serve checkout. Waited for the food and still nobody coming out of the back area, I went to the restroom and when I came out the food had been delivered. My wife and grands were preparing to eat. I sat down and started getting my food out, grabbed one of those famous McDonalds French fries 🍟 and they were cold!! Play the sounds of a needle scratch in your head! I went to the counter where nobody is and waiting for a brief time, because I’d seen one person the whole time we’ve been there. I talked to the empty space in the back, “Hey! Is anyone there?”. The boy man poked his head around the corner adjusting his headset saying “sorry, I’ll be there in a second.” He came out asking what I wanted to order, I said, “no, these fries are cold, please replace them.” He said, “Ok, sorry, I’ll bring them out in a bit.” I went back to my seat and began eating. About 1/2 way through my big Mac I heard the fry alarm going off and it proceeded to alarm for the next five minutes as I finished my hamburger. The alarm was turned off the a couple minutes later I hear. “One order of large fries.” I walked over to the order area, no fries. I looked in the back and the boy man saw me and said, “ Oh, your order is over hear.” To the left of the order area is a window for pickup. I’m thinking why wouldn’t you bring out the replacement fries? At least show a very small amount of customer service! So, now I’m faced with a large fry, no hamburger. Time to share, since they are grands and done with their food, I figure they would want some fries. You would think given the PRIME location and it being brand new the manager would have things under control, but then again, if you serve high schooler’s all week and make most of your money from children that have little to no culinary experience then maybe that...

We walked in to the store around 8:00 in the evening and there was nobody in line. We ordered four sundae’s from the kiosk. After we ordered my son wanted a water so he went up to the counter and waited for someone to help him. Nobody ever came. We waited for over 20 minutes for our ice cream and by the time it came my son had given up on the water. They didn’t bring out the ice cream, just yelled our number and retreated back to the kitchen. They neglected to give us spoons. I stood there staring into the kitchen trying to get someone to acknowledge me for 4 or 5 minutes. At one point an employee (skinny young dude) walked past me, avoiding eye contact with me. I asked him if we could get some spoons. He ignored me and went back into the kitchen. Finally a different employee asked if I needed something and she went to grab me two spoons. I said I need four spoons for my four sundaes. She said ok and went back for the two remaining spoons. On the way back to hand me the spoons, she had a little conversation with another employee while I waited there watching her hold my spoons. Finally after nearly half an hour we sat down to our melted sundaes.

I wouldn't normally go out of my way to write a bad review about mcdonald's, like it's McDonald's of course you're going to get shit service. I mean I can count on one hand the amount of times I've had good service at McDonald's and I've lost two fingers due to eating too many McMuffins. But I went inside the store and waited about 7-8 minutes there's a full line behind me and people kept peeking around the corner, workers I mean, and just looking over at us but ignoring us so I figured all right fine the prioritizing the drive through whatever. Got in the drive-thru. Asked for the drink I always get a McDonald's half Sprite half Powerade. They tell me they don't do that. I said okay can you just give me the cup and I'll come in and do it myself. They said that that can't happen either apparently they don't have the soda machines inside the store?? I've never seen this before but yeah it's really stupid really slow rude service on top of something as idiotic as not being able to fill a cup with half Sprite and half Powerade. Sandwich...
