Nothing Bundt Cakes — Restaurant in Gilbert

I order often from this location and the other Chandler/Gilbert/Phoenix area locations. I ordered Buntinis for Mother’s Day and was quite disappointed as my mother-in-law told me that it was not like she normally gets, normally it tells you who it’s from, and also identifies the flavor choices in the cover or lid. I personally was not happy either to only have a choice of two 12-pack flavors . Normally I order the dozen and get 11 different flavors because nobody likes just four flavors, everybody loves them all and what’s the purpose of getting a multi pack when you can’t even choose your flavors? As a business owner, I believe it would behove you to offer the variety pack of the 11 different flavors as this would bring more people to your location to buy, after they tried something different at Mom’s that they had never tried before and would not have if you just offered the four flavors as you did. Sending an option of 11 Different flavors...typically, on Mother’s Day more people are sharing therefore more people are tasting a flavor they may not have known that Nothing Bundt Cakes sells there for bringing in more revenue and more customers… Just a thought! Next holiday, I’ll be looking online for a different...

I've come to this location multiple times and without a doubt the cakes are delicious! But if there was any reason for me to never come here again and that would be one specific worker and her name is McKinley. we pulled up to the place at the same time as a gentleman and upon him being a gentleman and holding the door open for us she proceeds to ignore us completely and acknowledges him and engaged him in a conversation about his parents and which cakes he would like. She takes his order, goes into the back retrieves it and brings it back to ring him up, all while just shooting us side eyes and not saying anything to us at all. Now we aren't really petty about things like that just because some people are just raised differently and mind you we were a group of 3 young African American ladies, but I never want to immediately say it's a race thing but it sure felt like it. Needless to say we walked up and tried to start a mild conversation about the Bundt bags they offer only to be shot at with short abrupt answers. Sick of trying we ordered and left...with the sour taste of bad customer service...

This is the 2nd time I have placed a phone order with Nothing Bundt Cakes at their Gilbert Baseline store. Every time I called to inquire about their hours and products, the staff has been exceptionally friendly and happy to answer my inquiries. When I went to pick up my order today, I was greeted several times with a warm smile and a greeting by several workers. While waiting to receive my boxed preorder, they offered us a sample of their Red Velvet Bundt cake, which was moist and exceptionally delicious. The prices for their products are reasonable and the flavors leave you wanting to eat more. The frosting is delicious and worthy of being eaten and not scraped off due to being too sweet. Their frosting I can eat without feeling sugar overload. The store is clean and their products are displayed attractively.
