Great prices, great selection, great location.
Located on Gilbert Road, plenty of free parking options all around, you can sit outside at this location or inside. They play accurate time period music, have a great decor, and is an all around beautiful location. They have great prices as far as ice cream goes, I think I remember 1 scoop is around $4.60 / 2 scoops is $5.90 / 3 scoops $6.90 - close to around those prices. That's pretty good for high quality scoop ice cream, the scoops themselves are medium sized. I tried the sea turtle ice cream I think it was, amazing flavor, great consistency.
Bathroom situation was as expected from a location that serves children, it looked as if children had used it. I let the person working know, she went and took care of it relatively quickly for being the only person working during a busy Friday afternoon.
Critical details like the glass on the front doors seems worn and dirty, also appeared as if one door wasn't working, some of the chairs and tables have some wear and tear about them, the seating situation is workable, they do have a comfortable cushioned bench along the wall and movable chairs/tables.
Great location, will be back in the future. They...
Read moreSo walking in I immediately notice the front door is super filmy and not clean, but kids and I are still excited to try it for the 1st time. They are out of eclairs, ok I'll get over it, we begin looking at the ice cream flavors...uhhh lost my appetite real quick from there...bugs were inside the ice cream display case. I was ready to leave but I couldn't convince my oldest to go somewhere else, she's risky I guess. I wouldn't allow the youngest to eat anything now. The girl behind the counter says something like oh ya sorry they are waiting for new fans or fans to be fixed...I pay full price for the one ice cream ($5 for 2 scoops). The counters also had old hard ice cream spots. On the way out I notice the corners of the floors are visibly dirty with food debris (I hope). So I'm sorry to report so negatively about our first visit. I wasn't expecting such dirty standards on a very slow very hot Wednesday afternoon. Seems as if the girl behind the counter had plenty of downtime to remove the bugs that they seemed to already be aware of, wash windows, or sweep floors. But idk I'm just the average...
Read moreEdit: I looked through the photos and found one of a waffle cone. What I got was tiny compared to it. I must have gotten the wrong size cone?
I liked the ice cream but there sure wasn't much of it. I got a waffle cone and there was a tiny scoop on it. When I think waffle cone I picture a larger cone with a little more ice cream. You usually eat it with a spoon. This was the size of a sugar cone and had the one little scoop. My friend got the same and when I went to pay, and it was $10, I was surprised. I'd totally pay that for a waffle cone size, but not for a single scoop. Also, in the ice cream world, a single scoop is really 2 scoops. I hate to say the ice cream wasn't very solid either, it was pretty soupy. Maybe the freezer case was left open too long? The flavor was good, but I won't go out of my way into a...
