Some of the best Thai food with delicious vegan options!!!
Thai Pepper isn’t technically a vegan restaurant, but they’ve got some really solid vegan options rare enough that I get excited when I find it.
The star for me used to be their vegan wings. They were spicy, loaded with peppers, sautéed perfectly… just so good. Last time we went, they didn’t have them, so definitely ask ahead if they’re available because they’re worth the trip if they are.
The Penang curry can be made vegan, and it’s amazing. It’s delicate but full of flavor, with green beans and tofu. It’s one of those dishes you take a bite of and just sit there like, “Yep, this is why I came.” The veggie fried rice (ask for no egg) looks pretty simple, but don’t let that fool you it’s really flavorful. The veggie spring rolls were fresh and crispy, and the peanut sauce on the side was delicious. We also tried the dumplings, which were great too. Basically, we’ve gone through every vegan-friendly thing they had on the menu at the time, and none of it disappointed.
The restaurant is small, but the staff is friendly and the service has always been good. We’ve done both takeout and dine-in. They have a high chair, but no changing table. There’s no kids’ vegan menu, so our kids just had the fried rice, which worked fine. They’ve got decent parking, and the serving sizes are generous definitely a plus.
Price-wise, you’re looking at around $15 $20 a plate, but it’s worth every bite. If you like spice and Thai food, I’d say go for the tofu Penang curry (just make sure to ask for it vegan). From what I understand, they make it to order, and you can taste the difference.
They don’t have a dedicated vegan menu, but there are good vegan options if you know what to ask for. That’s why I’m sharing this because it can be a pain to find good vegan Thai food unless you’ve already tried the place and asked. This one’s worth checking out. Try a few things, find your favorite, and you’ll probably love the rest too. Service is phenomenal very accommodating to our family with the...
Read moreI love Thai food. So when I heard a new place opened up, I naturally headed over for lunch. Thai Peppers Kitchen is my new favorite Thai place because it is absolutely the freshest, tastiest Thai in the Valley. The staff is on top of things and the service, prep time is fast. After several visits, I can say with confidence they win my top award for Thai cuisine.
Fresh, stellar food- On several visits, I have enjoyed the Tom Yum Gai soup. It is always the pinnacle of freshness with zesty flavors. I like mine with chicken, but you can choose your protein. Every veggy is fresh, the broth is perfect, and the quantity is huge. For lunch, I love to have the lunch special Garlic Saute with chicken. It comes with a small cup of soup, white rice, a spring roll (with fish sauce), a large portion of veggies and protein, and again as fresh as you can imagine. Your choice of heat. My son has tried the curries and especially loves their fresh approach to Penang which is a perfect zesty flavor. The appetizers are brilliant as well. Absolutely try the chicken potstickers. And the salt and pepper wings are unbelievable - try them!
The restaurant is relatively small, but I love the vibe. Located just west of the Lifetime fitness building just off of Warner road about 1/4 mile from Gilbert Rd intersection. You never have to wait too long for food, but when you get it, it is piping hot and absolutely fresh. Love love love it!
Prices are good for lunch specials, and the regular menu is reasonable for top end Thai food. This is a great place to meet a friend for lunch or talk for a while. Love it!...
Read morePopped in on 10/28 a few minutes before 4pm. Almost cried because I saw the closed sign (I was crazing Thai food!) but then realized they are only closed between 3 and 4 pm.
Excellent food and service!
It's not an overly large place, and they definitely do a pretty steady business in take-out orders. Their decor is very colorful and sets the ambiance for the entirety of your stay. Our receipt showed Lester as our server, but we had a young woman assist us for most of the evening, but we didn't catch her name. She brought waters immediately, and was very attentive the entire time we were there.
The food was well spiced, steaming hot, its presentation was top-notch, and it is definitely money well spent. The guava soda was something I had never had before and it was delicious! After devouring the appetizers of fresh rolls and crab puffs, we barely touched our food -- but only because we were saving room for the purple sticky rice. A must have, for sure.
We each ordered one (one w/ mango, one w/ coconut ice cream). She cautioned us that it was shareable, but we didn't listen. We should have. It was definitely a larger portion of rice & ice cream than any other Thai restaurant we have been to. They even had little balls of mochi. Double delicious treat.
We both highly recommend...
