We frequent this location often and for a few years now. This evening I had the absolute worst service I've ever experienced. It would have been zero stars had the guy who sat us not gone and beyond to ensure our seat was cleaned up sufficiently and he brought my son the coloring menu. The girl who served us, or lack better words dropped food at our table when she could was not customer oriented, and rather than correct our order she made excuses. She messed up our drink order the first go around. We waited 15min for her to come by our table to inquire if we wanted to have a refill, and then it took 20 minutes for her to get our beer. Mind you we ordered a beer with an iceberg and by the time it got to our table the iceberg was melted and she said well it's in there I was hoping somebody else would run it to you and rather than correct the situation she sat the beer down and I told her to take it back. She didn't initially apologize for messing up our drinks however when I asked for her to close us out right away she seemed pretty prompt to do so. Funny we would have spent a lot more money and we usually do had she just tended to our table but it seems she was more efficient about getting us out of there. And observing her other tables it seemed they were all little ticked off as well and I overheard her blaming others for not being able to get to her tables. I'm really not one for venting like this but I'm so perturbed. We don't go out often especially with this whole COVID situation but the one time we go out for dinner it's just a total bust and especially at one of our favorite places that's now discouraged me from wanting to go back there based on this experience. There are some other issues that upset me because she messed up our bill and when I asked her to correct it she came back to the table and with a sassy attitude asked if I want to review it before she ran my card. Sadly, I don't know if...
Read moreWent there yesterday to watch the Suns game. Got there a little before 4:30 (game started at 6:00) to get on a waiting list. We put our name down for 15 people. They said we needed to have half our party there before they could seat us, which we said was fine. She said she would guarantee us a table, but we had to have half the party there. There was only one other group ahead of us (a party of 12). Most of our group were coming from work, but we had a majority of our group there around 4:50ish. I let the hostess know as soon as we had enough people. Another 30 minutes passed, and they were seating every other party that came instead of ours. I went and asked the hostess when we could expect to be getting seated since the game was starting soon (and I had now been waiting for almost an hour, which would have been fine if we had actually gotten a table). She said she had no clue when we were going to be seated and that they could not get that many seats together at this point. There was another large group leaving and I asked if we could have that table. She said it was not enough space for us. I told her we didn't mind squeezing. Still nothing. They had given away every table at this point and left us standing there with no answers and not a care in the world about getting us seated. We went and got the manager and he basically gave us the same lines the hostess gave. Don't tell someone you guarantee them a table just to leave them standing there with no answers. You had an hour to prepare a place for us, and did nothing. We understood that we were a larger group and we knew we would have a long wait to get seated. Also that group of 12 that I mentioned earlier that put their name on the list just before me, they were seated at a table when only 3 people in their party were there. We ended up going to Howlers instead, got seated right away and had...
Read moreSo I love Zipps, but I will NEVER go there again. I’ve been going for years now with my family. Last night (on my birthday) I came in at 11:15pm for my favorite drink (a Zipparita). We came so late because I worked a 12 hr shift, was tired and hesitant on even wanting to go out. My husband convinced me, so we went to Zipps for one drink. As we walked in we were bombarded by a man who worked there telling us they are not serving food anymore. We told him that is fine because we just came in for ONE drink, I knew they closed at 12. Then, he sat us at a table around the bar because there were no seats at the bar and told us a server would be with us. A few minutes later the server came over took our drink order and walked away. Then, 10 minutes later this RUDE blonde guy came over (I’m guessing was a manager) and told us he would not be serving us our Zipparitas because my eyes were red. I was stunned, I have never in my life had this happen to me. My eyes were red because I was tired! Both my husband and I were completely fine, not stumbling or slurring our words, they didn’t want to serve me because they thought my eyes were red?! I was in such complete shock I didn’t even know what to say, I just got my purse and walked out with my husband. As I was walking out I noticed the sloppy drunk people at the bar who they were in fact still serving alcohol!!! My husband and I never go out, and the one chance we do this happens. The slimy guy who denied serving us had completely no customer service. He was extremely rude and arrogant. I think they didn’t want to serve us because it was close to closing time, and they didn’t want to be bothered with us, the server wanted to leave. Will follow up with a complaint to the store about the rude blonde guy. No one should be treated with...
