Will not be returning and CANNOT and WILL NOT recommend this establishment to others. I try to chill before I put in my reviews, and consider how I may have contributed to my own experience. I typically return the energy I’m met with. We walked in to have breakfast this morning 1/31/25 to be met (eventually) by a server (short and thin in stature, gray short hair in a pony tail, older) who sat us and just by demeanor, body language, and lack of greeting or pleasantries may have not been having the best day or just generally didn’t care about customer service. Not a “good morning” “welcome in”…nada! I ordered coffee and a water. Was brought just water. She was short in responses and just lacked the presence being in customer forward jobs demands. Upon ordering, I was not particularly hungry so my husband and I agreed I would just share whatever he got (literally a few bites at best). He stated this when ordering, we were met with “just so you know we charge a $1 for sharing”. I understand this charge, as it’s usually to cover the cost of an extra plate/dishes/etc. I let her know I wouldn’t need an extra plate and would just eat off of his, she said “well, we still charge for sharing”. I did ask why and was told it was just something they did. I then responded with that he’d be the only one eating then. She rolled her eyes, said “okaaay” much like a teenager full of attitude would, appeared extremely annoyed, then quickly and aggressively scratched the “charge to share” from the ticket she was writing. She took our menus and walked away to the kitchen, at which point I was pretty angry at how the WHOLE encounter had gone and we just decided to leave before things escalated and were made worse. As we got out to our vehicle, this server, followed us out and YELLED out the door at us and quickly pulled back inside. I was already in our car and didn’t hear what was said, my husband couldn’t be sure either, but I can only assume it probably wasn’t pleasant based on the whole experience. What. In. The. World?!?!? This was in the top 5 worst restaurant experiences I’ve had and why I needed to share. Business owners should be very aware of their employees and how they interact with customers. We were not unreasonable, demanding, rude, or disrespectful but were very much met with that. As a matter of fact we extend please and thank you’s in abundance with folks in the service industry because we come from them as well. I appreciate how hard it can be at times. This was 100% unacceptable and unnecessary. It was noted there were very few cars in the parking lot, and plenty of seating for breakfast. If this is the norm, then I completely understand why. Lucky for us, there are lots of other breakfast places nearby to...
Read moreNow I know a lot of you who are reading this will disagree with me but I thought this place was mediocre at best. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch only. It appears to be small from the outside but they were able to utilize every inch of the building for tables! We arrived at approximately 10:30a.m. on a Saturday and the place was very busy but we were seated within 10 minutes. Our server Steve was quick to take our drink order but a little slow in delivering it as he had the yack on with another customer. Anyway Steve delivers our beverages and I admit the coffee was very good. The restaurant appeared to be mostly clean (I had a piece of something dried/stuck to my knife). Steve took our order and our food came out within a reasonable amount of time. I ordered the biscuits and gravy breakfast that came with your choice of hashbrowns or country potatoes, 2 eggs cooked to order and for $2 more you could add sausage or bacon. My daughter ordered the huevos rancheros breakfast and her boyfriend ordered country fried steak and eggs. They got the eggs backwards on the other 2 orders so that was a disappointment. My bacon was not crispy at all; I would say it was way under cooked. The biscuit and gravy was okay but with the name of the place being Biscuits I expected way better. My daughter thought her food was just okay but her boyfriend enjoyed his meal. The prices were average; for the 3 of us the bill came to around $38 not including tip. There is sufficient parking and there is handicap parking available. Would I recommend this place to family and friends? I guess I would say sure, go ahead and try it but it isn't worth writing home about! Oh ya, the portions are on the larger size so you do get a lot of food for the price. Thanks for taking the time to read my review. Have a...
Read moreUpdate: In response to the owner, I recently dined at another local breakfast spot and the kid's breakfast was $5.79 with a drink. The $9 breakfast at The Biscuit House without a drink is not competitive. It may be worth the time to scope out menu prices of other restaurants and adjust accordingly. Original post:Underwhelming and expensive are the words I would use to describe our experience at The Biscuit House. In my reviews of a place I like to start out with the pros. Pros for The Biscuit House: the environment is clean and well decorated fitted with a farmhouse theme. We were sat in a timely manner. If you order coffee, you get the whole carrafe at your table. Cons: sub-par taste of food. we ordered a breakfast burrito and a scramble. The filling of the breakfast burrito and scramble was fair. The tortilla had a stale taste. The beans that came on the side had a bite to them and not in a spicy way. We were unable to substitute a side dish for another item on the menu. The country potatoes were very oily and not crisp. The kids menu is drastically overpriced for the small portions, they are the same price as an adult entree. No crayons for the kids either. For our family of three we spent around $50 for breakfast and there are other places in the valley that are a better price point and have better food. The price of food should reflect the quality of the food. And for this price, I would expect a higher quality of food. This is a diner with fine dining prices. For the kids meal it was $3 per item. For perspective, that is $3 for one egg, $3 for one link of sausage, and $3 for one biscuit. For these reasons, we will not be visiting The Biscuit House again nor can we recommend...
