Tonight I ordered carryout from this location around 11pm (my first time trying this out). I came in to pick it up around 11:15pm. Being that this was my first time I assumed that it would be like a pizza place when you order carryout (they normally close their dining area but stay open later for carryout order walk-ins).
With this considered I go ahead and walk in as normal and the door was unlocked. I didn't know that the whole lobby closed at 10pm even for carryout orders. If I knew this I would have went through the drive thru.
Once I walk in I get shocked responses from the employees that are working in there (a reasonable response considering the lobby was closed); the problem was there response also came across as somewhat rude/angry. They call the manager over.
The manager Maui acts frustrated, angry, and disrespectful the whole time as if it was my fault that I wasn't promoted to go through the drive through when I ordered online (which I wasn't; it said to go inside the restaurant). He also acted as if it was my fault that their door was left unlocked even though the lobby was closed.
It gets even better.
They didn't even have my order ready when I got there and I end up getting home with raw looking meat after taking a couple of bites (as shown in pictures).
I understand workers being tired towards the end of the shift I've done it before in the fast food business; but it's not like I ordered at 11:45pm or even 11:30pm for that matter. I ordered at 11:00pm and walked in at 11:15pm.
I've grown up in Gilbert and have gone to this Wendy's MANY of times. This is very disappointing and I probably will not be going...

I am an amputee, missing my right leg, so we always either order in through a delivery service (i.e., PostMates, DoorDash, UberEats, etc.) or go through a drive-thru window. Yesterday (Friday, April 8, 2022) we decided to drive to this location to order our dinner. We each ordered an Asiago Ranch Chicken Club Sandwich (add onions and mayo). We each requested grilled chicken. We received our order and parked in the lot to enjoy our dinner. Much to our surprise, we received a spicy crispy chicken sandwich and a kids hamburger instead of what we paid for! It was a very busy dinner rush, so we got back in the drive-thru line and waited awhile before we got to the window. Once we arrived at the speaker, a gal took our order, we explained our dilemma and she assured us we would get the right sandwiches! We went through and received our order... Again, we opened up two sandwiches with crispy (not grilled chicken), BBQ sauce of some sort,,, and absolutely ZERO cheese). My wife at this point was quite furious, as we'd already spent upward of an hour trying to get our desired meals! Needless to say, we took a couple of bites of what wound up to be a cold sandwich, and she drove us home. We will never again return to that location of Wendy's! On top of everything, both times through the window, we were poorly greeted and treated rudely and firm by the different greeters! That location needs to educate its staff on customer service and proper etiquette. We lost money and wasted our evening on this...
Read moreManager John was incredibly rude to me. I recieved a Kids frosty along with my other menue items. The Frosty I received looked smaller than a dixy cup. I mean super small. I said my kid is giong to be upset if I bring this home, I would like to pay to upgrade. Manager JOHN said "No we don't do that here" I said well if you can't make my oder write, please refund my oder so I can go somewhere else. He Refused to refund and told me they it would be a huge waste. I told him I would complain to corporate...he said I could call the police if I wanted (where did that come from????) I said he was the worst manager I have ever encountered, he said and I quote" and you are a Karen". We exchanged unpleasantries and I drove off. First of all..I did not ask for anything unreasonable...I offered to pay for an upgrade. When I order from other restaurants for my kid, I get a much larger item..this thing they gave me was like I said ultra tiny..laughable tiny. John who was the manager seemed pretty unconcern a complaint was coming. I am guessing it must be the culture at that location based on some other reviews.
