Hello everyone,
I wanted to share with everyone about a coffee shop I personally just discovered in Mt. Gilead Ohio right by the square called "Sames & Cook". I am a big coffee fan and have tried coffee in almost all of central Ohio's coffee shops from Mom and Pops to the big chains. This one in Mt. Gilead competes with them all and is actually my new favorite coffee shop! The decor is amazing, their drinks are exquisite and their staff is beyond friendly! Their prices are also amazing! In fact they seem to almost be too low for what you are getting! They offer high speed Internet, have a great atmosphere to read or do group events such as Bible Studies or Social Groups.
My favorite coffee shop before this one was Choffey's in Delaware Ohio, this one in Mt. Gilead is honestly better, cheaper and the decor actually competes with the best of them! I honestly never thought I would be saying this about any other coffee shop.
I highly highly encourage you to pay them a visit, try their coffee out for yourself and experience one of the best coffee experiences you will ever have! On top of it all you will be supporting a family owned and operated business, we are so incredibly blessed to have this in our small county!
Please share around with all of your fellow coffee...
Read moreIf atmosphere is your deal, Sames & Cook will work just great for you. Its probably 99% real deal time travel. I mean its not made to look oldtime, it IS OLDTIME. From the very high ceilings to the counter tops, they're legit...even antique! Very cozy, down home with a touch of reality.
Now about WHY YOU CAME... I can't say with certainty, but I'm pretty sure a lot of what I ate came from a box...hopefully not an old box, but a box nevertheless. I mean it tasted good. You know, like boxed macaroni tastes good.
I had Biscuits & Gravy, the large order and bacon...oh, and a very good coffee with cream and some added vanilla. The meal didn't seem like a large at all...maybe my 5 1/2 month old grand daughter might have been impressed. The biscuits were small and the gravy thin and little/not much sausage. It didn't taste bad...just average. The bacon was limp as I requested but cold. When some say cold they mean not hot. I mean cold. I love limp bacon but when its cold...not so much.
The waitress was kind and even refreshing. Not fake kind like some can be but genuinely nice!
So if you're lookingvfor atmosphere and don't mind average... go for it. Overall, it was a pleasant...
Read moreAwesome experience today! Just found out it is new ownership. I love so far what she has done to the place! I've been seeing on social media all the yummy food that has been posted. She went on to tell me that she loves baking and cooking. They will have New York style bagels where they go as far as boiling the dough. I cannot wait to come back and try everything! The coffee today was delicious. I thought about getting my daughter a smoothie and when I asked the sizes I changed my mind and told her my daughter wasn't even two yet, she offered to make her a small smoothie! Such a kind gesture! My daughter loves it also, so that makes my mom heart happy. I hope this company thrives! I'm eager to see all she does with her time there. It's also a breath of fresh air going into a small business and seeing the owner so hands on and compassionate about...
