I never been unhappy about this place but fathers day was horrible, waited 20 for 3 of our 4 drinks , then another 15 for my adult drink , we was told the wait be a bit longer which was fine , we was there at 645ish , got are food at 755 ( closing time Sunday ) and felt rushed to eat , the second the are plates were empty they was grabbing them to us get they heck out at 810 , watch a table have her cup on the end for a refill for 30+ mins ( are food was all fried except one burger ) shouldnt take over an hour. we was the last servierd but not the last sat . The server keep putting the owner down saying they didn't care about them . Which I thought was crazy , u can feel that way , but should be the first thing u say to your table. And it wasn't the only sideways comment said. I knew the husband that owned the place sadly before he passed, I'm sure things are hard for the wife but I can't be quite why this is happening under her roof , if they are treated poorly maybe something can change but if not I don't want people like that working for her . I will be back but it will be a min . I wish Joes family the best , if u r having a hard time your community is here for you . God bless u and your children . I hope things can get better for both...
Read moreClean. Nice people. Chicken wings were good, strong. Lots of room for lots of people. Hope it sticks. I'll be back to try more foods. Should bring in the younger crowd. Sports folks. Lots of TVs for sports. Keep updating the place when you get opportunities. Touchless bathrooms would be nice. I hope to try breakfast there, a steak meal if they have it, and a pizza. I'd be tickled if they worked with Domino's or Pizza Hut, or other locals, and brought it from down the block, I'd eat it watching the games on the TVs there and pay a little extra for and share in the crowd experience. Good location. I could envision the parking lot there becoming a beer garden during the summer, The Fair, the weekends, or anytime. Close in parking could be a challenge. You may park across the street in the large bank lot like the rest of us locals ! Look at our monument for buying the most war bonds ever. Mt.Gilead is really starting to come back to life. I'm hoping we can quickly get our other county villages more downtown stores and action also. This place is a good addition and start. ...
Read moreI went here with my wife for dinner on Saturday night. She ordered a Buffalo wrap and I ordered a mushroom Swiss cheese burger with fries. My wife also ordered fried pickles for an appetizer and I ordered a Jim Beam straight (that means with ice cubes). They ran out of Jim Beam band didn't know what other bourbon they had, so I had to go to the bar to see what they had. I made a choice and they brought me a shot neat (without ice cubes) about 10 minutes later. I said thanks, may I have a glass with 3 ice cubes please, and they brought it to me. I let it slide, but I think all bartenders should learn bourbon jargon. The wrap was really good. The burger was decent, but the bun was too soggy. The fries were frozen and not hot enough. It would be nice to get really great fresh fries with a good burger. They had live singer/guitarist playing live at 8:00 who was pretty good. He played a lot of southern classic rock like Allman Bros and Tom Petty. Overall, a good experience. I'd like them tighten up the French fry game and speed up the bar service. The More live...
