Soooo, we only get to go here every so often due to the early hours and our work schedules. Normally, it's excellent, while smaller portions, it's generally well worth it. However, today was an absolute disappointment. We waited for about 15mins just for a coffee, and a total of about 30-40mins altogether for our food. Nothing too intricate, it's breakfast. Our son started getting fussy, NBD, just took him outside for a stroll while my husband waited for our food. It finally all came out, we came back in, fed our son real quick, and decided to take ours to go... I order the chicken avocado salad, EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. it is my absolute favorite and I KNOW what it's supposed to look like and come with....What I got was not worth $9, at all.... JUST spinach, 4 tiny bits of chicken, 3 slices of avocado, and I think 5 cherry tomatoes all literally sprinkled with bacon and almonds. We were in such a hurry we just paid and went to take it to go that we hadn't realized how absolutely messed up it was until after the fact. We don't go out often, and generally it's well worth the wait and such, but this was not it. If you read the menu, and compare to other reviews, this is absolutely not what it's supposed to look like content wise. Where are the other greens??? How do you put on your menu that something contains a certain product but then switch it up without notice??? This is a photo of what it's supposed to contain, look like, vs what mine was. It was put directly from the salad dish into the to-go box untouched... The owner (?) is a total sweetheart and anytime I've had her as my server, exceptional and always checking in. However, our server today just left us chilling. Never asked if we needed anything the entire time once we placed our order. Didn't check if everything was good or anything. I've had a few mishaps here but today took the cake. The hilarious part is the one server told the other she was grateful it wasn't busy, so...

We came here late on a Saturday morning to get breakfast and the place was decently busy (there are about 10-12 tables in the whole place). We were able to sit down immediately, but it took quite some time to receive menus. There were three waitresses that were supposed to be working, but one of them seemed to be doing everything while one made coffees and the other stood around. Finally we were able to order when the waitress standing around noticed us, but she clearly had no idea what was going on. First she didn't even know that we could order lunch, even though we could and it was listed on the menu and then she didn't get the orders right and came over multiple times to ask us questions about it even though she wrote it down. Then, we ordered coffees and it took FOREVER to receive them. We when finally did, one was 1/4 a cup and they told us that it was the bottom of the pot. What?? It really just seemed as though one waitress was running around like crazy while the other two pretty much stood there. Not sure where the manger is to tell them to get to work? It also took forever to get the food. When we did though the food was delicious. A little bit skimpy for the price, but was tasty. Pancakes were amazing and the pesto was so fantastic we...

Great location (one star), great food (one star), balance zero. Stopped in after reading reviews about how great this place was. I walked in, no clue if I should sit or go to the register. I opted for the latter. The gal behind the register told me to wait while she was completing a task and I was fine with that. She never asked if I wanted to take a seat nor did she offer me a menu. She couldn't even attempt to smile. I told her I would take a seat. AND I SAT... while other patrons were waited on. Typically I would have left a place like this but I had an hour to kill so I waited to see if someone would acknowledge me, NOPE. I walked back to the counter where I made small talk and asked for a menu and ordered. Sat back down and waited. After a few uncomfortable moments my sandwich arrived, which was great by the way. I had to ask for a napkin even though the waitress was putting them down at the table next to me. I finally saw the chef come out and speak to the tables but he neglected to even come my way. I did not feel welcome in this place and would NOT ever go back. ALL IN ALL THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE...

Small town vibes, big town delivery! This place offers something for everyone. The coffee lovers rejoice with locally roasted beans and custom hot/cold drinks made on the fly at the full service coffee bar. Or, sit a while and enjoy the fantastic locally sourced food. The Bistro is KY PROUD, getting all of their eggs, jams, jellies, greens, and even sausage and bacon from farmers in their home state. Add that with the fact that most everything is made in-house, they take clean eating to a whole new level. They don't fry anything and vegetarians can even find scrumptious plates. The service has always been exceptional...I should know, I eat here at least once a week! Bonus...they showcase a local artist for each month of the year. Photographers, painters, and creatives are all around. If you are passing through, or a local, Fine Arts Bistro is a place for great food and atmosphere. Don't miss it!

A buddy of mine and I decided to check out a different restaurant today for lunch while down at Barren River Lake. We drove into Glasgow, KY and stopped in at Fine Arts Bistro on the town square. We arrived around 12:15 p.m. to a nearly full dining room. The building was obviously 100 or so years old and the feel was upbeat and vogue. A section of one of the solid brick walls is exposed revealing the building's age and stately stature. Being a lover of avocados, the Bistro Chicken Avocado Salad beckoned as did the Butternut Squash Soup. The soup was in a puree form and very tasty. The salad not only looked great; it was delicious and the two dishes satisfied my appetite and cravings for heathier food. The service was prompt and very personable. I highly recommend Fine Arts Bistro to anyone traveling through or simply needing to fill a local appetite.
