I've been at Chickie's and Pete's many years ago, especially the one in South Philly and the original location in Robins Avenue in Philly, such great memories. Since I was in Glassboro for a tour of Rowan University, I went to the local Chickie's and Pete's there with friends and family for a quick bite. The restaurant with bar was clean, the hostess and waiting personnel were friendly and polite. We ordered crab fries and white cheese sauce for starters, chicken sandwich on brioche roll, shredded iceberg lettuce and housemade sauce, my parties had shrimp tacos with roasted corn, cilantro, jalapeño and spice lime creme, and The Classic Philly Cheesstake topped with lobster meat. Everything was so delicious and tasty, just as I remember, portions were not bad, and the beer on tap was great. Their soups and salads, pizza, especially Lisa's Blonde Lobster Pie pizza, seafood, mussels, burgers, Italian specialty sandwiches, Classic and oysters, shrimp and lobster and crabs dishes are always great and satisfying. The establishment offers parties and catering for any families, private or business, corporate events, birthdays, bat mitzvah, rehearsal dinners, reunions, wedding receptions and much more, just contact the location of your choice and let the pros at Chickie's and Pete's do the rest. One can customize menus and full service bar, catering is also to take home, not to forget mentioning that they have a delivery truck for on-site catering called Crabfries Express that can bring to your location Crabfries, chicken wings, and much more, served hot and fresh. Highly recommended restaurant and bar for anyone looking for something...
Read moreI know a lot of people love this place, so maybe I have just been unlucky in my endeavors here. I've tried Chickie and Pete's three times - once delivery, once dine-in and once pick-up. The first time was delivery, and after I placed the order I received a call that they were out of what I ordered. No big deal, I tried something different. Food was okay, but had no resounding desire to go again. We dined in the second time because we had called several other bars in the area and no one else said they had the game we wanted to watch. We got there and sat at the bar. After conversing with one of the people working the bar, she grabbed an assistant manager because she wasn't sure about the game we were asking about. She apologized and said they actually didn't have the channel the game was on and told the hosts to clarify with management before telling people calling in they were showing certain games. We had already ordered so we stayed. My fiance's food came out, but mine didn't. He had finished eating before the assistant manager came back over and apologized again because they were (again) out of what I ordered and asked what else I wanted. At that point my hormonal, pregnant self just wanted to go home - no fault of hers, I was just on the verge of tears. She did take care of my fiance's sandwich for us, which was very kind. Third time I did pick up because I really wanted to have what I had been trying to order the past two times. They did have it, and when I went to pick it up I was told it wasn't ready yet. I waited along with some other people picking up to-go orders. They were all brought out at once and I was disappointed to find mine was...
Read moreHaven’t been here in 5+ years… brought my mom, sister & fiancé here to grab a quick bite on Mother’s day and our experience was absolutely horrible. Upon walking in, no one greeted us. There seemed to be two hostess stands so I wasn’t sure who to approach for a table. We asked to sit outside. The manager stated that if we were going to sit outside, that we needed to throw our beverages away. We just purchased coffees from Dunkin and the coffee was more than half full still. If we weren’t so hungry I would have already turned around at this point and gone somewhere else. There definitely are worse things to worry about than someone enjoying coffee.. especially in a college town lol. I work in a place where we don’t turn away people with outside beverages. The water tasted weird even with a couple lemons in it so I didn’t drink anything the entire time. My fiancé ordered a shot of patron.. the first shot had floaties of something in it. So she asked for a new one. The remake took about 10-15 minutes to come back to the table because “the bartender had to go grab a new bottle”. The new one still had floaties in it. Crabs were over cooked. Crab fries were good as always. The service was okay, but still tipped 20% because she was really nice and I don’t tip based on service. Definitely won’t come back to this location. The Marlton location is...
