I wanted a cake for my 50th birthday party as special as the milestone was for me. There is no one I would have trusted this with other than Marika and her team at Brown Butter. But when I tried to place the order, they were on vacation and returning the day of my party. I reached out and Marika said she had time to create my masterpiece as long as I could pick it up anytime after 1 p.m.

When I saw it, I couldn’t believe it. When my guests saw it, they were stunned. We ALMOST didn’t want to cut it - it was so beautifully done. I had mentioned that my party was going to be at a vineyard, so the cake dressed for the occasion 🥰🥰

While there are so many flavor profiles to choose from, my absolute favorite at Brown Butter is their almond cupcake, so I chose that flavor for my cake and buttercream frosting. It was three layers of delicious magic.

My husband stopped in to see if they would be able to make individual molten lava cakes for my birthday as I was looking for something other than a cake or cupcakes this year. They advised it wasn’t part of their normal offerings but would try it out and make it happen. They were so accommodating to this very specific request and even gave him their pan to use as they couldn’t be baked ahead of schedule to achieve the gooey chocolate center. Hand written instructions were given and they came out exactly how I had hoped. The chocolate molten lava cakes were decadent and delicious and I couldn’t have been more thrilled with them.

AMAZING. I saw a cake BBC made for a friend’s party, and it was so incredible and so delicious that I ordered the cake for my husband’s toga-themed birthday party from here. When the owner asked what I wanted, I told her to use her own creation, and I’m so glad I did. The cake was a true masterpiece with fig leaves, columns, frosting made to look like stone, and she even put his name on a plaque. It was a feast for the eyes, and all of our guests oohed and ahhed when they saw it. And it was DELICIOUS. I never saw a cake get devoured so quickly. There wasn’t a crumb left. This place will be our go-to for all of our occasions from now on....
