Pick & Mix Korean Restaurant — Restaurant in Glastonbury

My family and I have been coming here since we moved to the town a few years ago. We've always loved the place and it has become a regular part of our rotation, coming here a few times a week. To be fair, the food good. The staff has changed throughout the years but has never been an issue. However, there is a gentleman that has been working there for the past few months that really makes this place not somewhere we want to go anymore. He is rude, plays on his phone while your standing there waiting to order completely ignoring you, and gives you attitude about just making an order because you've inconvenienced him playing on his phone. Super sad because we love the place, the concept, and the food. Maybe the west hartford place is better, but a bit too far for us...

I have enjoyed eating at Pick and Mix in West Hartford for years, so when I found there was a Glastonbury location I expected the same level of quality and service, sadly it was not.

Staff was discourteous, kept me waiting 5 mins after walking in, while they were engaging in a loud argument in the back. They then proceeded to continue the argument in front of me as one of the two staff was taking my order. The store was very dim and ill maintained. The food was terrible, rice was chalky and clumpy, Korean beef was a ground pasty greasy mess, not at all like the photo on the menu. I suffered from gastrointestinal distress within a couple hours of consuming the food.

As much as I would like to give Pick and Mix a higher rating, I was highly disappointed in service the last time I visited. My husband and I stopped by because we were in the area and it wasn't until we got home that we realized the meat we selected was not added to our food. My only option was to drive half an hour back to get the meat. What bothered me was that we were not offered a discount, a credit, or anything extra besides a bag of chips or drink. The server even acknowledged it was her fault that she forgot the meat but didn't bother to get a manager involved and the fact that I had to drive half an hour back for their mistake without any other compensation was...
