This was our first visit to Pho Viet. We’ve been to Pho restaurants in Richmond that were great, but were very pleased to find out that we had an awesome Pho restaurant in town. The restaurant is elegantly decorated. Not just a room with tables. It is cozy, a very nice place for a date or family gathering. I gotta tell you, we will not be driving to Richmond in search of Vietnamese cuisine. Excellent!! Tonight we enjoyed the Pho DuĂŽi BĂČ (Oxtail, eye of round & brisket) and the Pho DĂČ BiĂȘn (Shrimp & Scallops). Absolutely delicious. To wash it down we had ice cold Bia Saigon Export Premium. Nice touch with the ice cold glasses! Attention to detail. After dinner the owner made sure to stop by and ask how we liked our entrees. Very warm and welcoming person. Thanks! See ya soon!

08/02/25 Another sit down, another awesome dinner. Stop by and check it out...

So exciting to have a fantastic and authentic Vietnamese restaurant right off Sliding Hill.

If you are concerned about the sheer volume of five star reviews, let me just add to the pile - Pho Viet really does deserve them. We have been here over ten different times since the beginning of summer and each visit has been consistently excellent.

Their pho broth is without equal in the Richmond area IMO. The vermicelli bowls and broken rice dishes showcase an excellent bbq pork and chicken that are on par with my absolute favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Orlando, Lac Viet, which went under during covid. Fresh made lemonade and limeade or a lychee martini top off an excellent meal.

Super quick service is also appreciated - hoping to place some to-gos in the future when we cannot dine in.

To have such quality nearby is...

When I came in on the weekend, I was impressed by the interior. I particularly liked the art on the walls, which added a lovely touch to the atmosphere. I started off with the spring rolls, which were fresh and satisfying. While they didn’t blow me away, the crispness of the vegetables and the balance of flavors made them a solid choice. Next up was the Oxtail Beef Pho, which truly stole the show. The meat was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, and the oxtail brought an incredible depth of umami that made each bite more enjoyable. The limeade was a delightful, refreshing treat, offering just the right balance of sour and salty notes. It was a great way to cut from the flavor of the pho. To top it all off, the staff was incredibly sweet and welcoming, making the entire experience even...

Unfortunately we didn't have a great experience here. The food was ok, not the best we've had, not the worst, but the service was fairly bad. 1st got no seasoning veggies with my pho. Asked several times and kept being told he would bring it right out, but never did. Even when I asked for the check, it took me several times of asking to get it. Did notice that when a Vietnamese family came in, we got totally forgotten about. They were waited on hand and foot, got veggies, and very well taken care of. The food just isn't good enough to overcome the service. Maybe it was a fluke, but it was very off-putting. My 12 daughter, who doesn't ever pick up on anything, even made mention of it. Was hoping this would be a new spot for us, but think Pho Que Huong at VCC is still the better place.

My husband and I dined at Pho Viet last night and have nothing but good things to say. For an appetizer, my husband had the BĂĄnh Hỏi Heo Quay. He said the flavor was outstanding as was the texture. The owner was super nice and helpful, explaining the best way to experience the dish. For our main dishes, my husband had the Phở Sưon BĂČ which he said was eyes-roll-back-in-your-head good. It was also a very large serving. I had the BĂșn CháșŁ GiĂČ Chay. The tofu was perfectly grilled and the dish had amazing flavor. We both added some of the chili oil condiment that was one of three available on the table and it was outstanding. We felt like we got a lot of value as the items were very fairly priced. We will be back again and again!
