Los Burritos Tapatios — Restaurant in Glen Ellyn

The food is pretty average but not worth it for the terrible customer service. Just about every time I go they mess up the order somehow, so much this most recent time was the worst. It was pretty busy and I called ahead and they said it would be ready in 10 minutes so I showed up in 15 just to be safe. The cashier said nothing about my order being ready just took my card so I went to the end and waited for my food to be called.

I sat there for 40 minutes watching orders leave trying to ask for help but nobody could understand. When I saw a manager I asked about my order and why it has been so long and he looked around and found my order hidden in the corner and just handed it to me. I asked if he could make a new one and his reply was “well maybe someone called your order and you weren’t paying attention” not “well I’m sorry we’re busy” or anything like that.

After my response he ripped the bag out of my hands and threw it back onto the counter and went to the register to, what I thought was, re-place my order. Another 15 minutes went by and I asked where my new order was he told me they weren’t making...

This is definitely an authentic Mexican restaurant, and the food is delicious. The restaurant was so busy when I came, but it did not stop me, and I still chose to eat here. Honestly, even though the store is busy, they are still able to give me my order quickly and the staff are really efficient, nice, and friendly. I ordered for takeout, and it was just a steak burrito and a steak quesadilla. From my previous experience, I was very happy when I left the store because I knew that the food was good. It has also been a long time since I went here, which is why I am also excited at the same time to eat the food. Their steak burrito has a huge portion. Well, honestly, all of their food is served with a generous portion, so I was not shocked to see the huge burrito I got. It is delicious and I definitely love the steak in it. I live in the city and happened to be in the mood for tacos when i was visiting this area. This restaurant had a high rating, and I thought I'd grab tacos here. This is the only Los Burritos Tapatios location I have visited, and I have only been here once. This place still offers chips and salsa when you sit down and they were delicious. Our server Sandra was very nice and attentive. I had the Steak taco platter. The steak was tender, and there was no gristle or fat. The meat, however, was somewhat bland, and the rice was also. My wife had the chicken taco platter and enjoyed it very much. We ordered the guacamole and a quesadilla for appetizers. The guacamole was wet, kinda soupy, and had a lot of tomatoes. We ate at lunchtime, and we had no problem getting a seat, but there was a steady stream of customers both eating in the restaurant and picking up takeout.
