So, I’ve been a follower of Joe and his NJ style pizza since they were located at the Slice Spot in West Chicago. It was a bit out of the way for me. I’m happy that he returned and his new restaurant is a lot closer to me. It’s located in a much busier spot than before but I’m elated that he’s getting constant business. You’ll find parking on the side and possibly the back. Inside, there are about 6 tables that you can sit at and eat. Seating will be very limited at peak hours. You can either get pizza by the slice or get the whole pizza. Prices are cheap and reasonable. Service was great. The staff treats you like family.
We decided to get several slices to try. We got buffalo chicken, BBQ chicken, Sicilian style, and garlic white. The pizzas came out hot and fresh. When you first bite into any of them, you’ll get this delicious, crispy crunch along with the sauce. That’ll be the first thing you notice. What follows are more tasty, flavorful bites until you finish the slice. You’re never chewing on the pizza that long either, it’s just a little chew. The garlic white has a nice cheese pull when you take a bite and you can smell/taste the garlic. Definitely not subtle. The chicken on both of the BBQ and buffalo chicken pizzas are perfectly cooked. The Sicilian style is a giant square shape but it packs a punch. By that, I mean you have a lot of flavors coming together and dancing the night away on your tastebuds. Highly recommend dining in and eating the pizza...
Read moreIve been to Pie Life a couple of times already, and I can say its probably the best pizza Ive had in Illinois by far. Ive always prefered NY/NJ style pizza over Chicago, but its impossible to find anywhere that makes it right here, until I found Pie Life. They have a large selection of pizzas, all available in slices, 16" whole, or 20" whole. I appreciate the slice option because its a good quick lunch/dinner and not many places serve individual slices anymore, and not for this low price either. Its a little misleading seeing the slice premade then warmed up, but they put it in the oven, not a microwave, so I garuntee it still tastes immaculate (but obviously ordering a whole fresh pizza is even better!) I also appreciate the "what you see is what you pay" style pricing, the slices are $5, and you pay $5, nothing more. Their service is also some of the best Ive ever seen. Its a privately run business, and they truely make you feel welcome every time, they like to talk and are very friendly (the owners daughter is also occasionally in the restaurant eating pizza and coloring, it is very adorable). Overall, I cannot say enough about this place, I go to College of Dupage down the road, and for as long as I go there I will be eating Pie Life for lunch, great...
Read moreprobably one of the best, if not best pizza we ever ate!
The only negative is probably The dining area is kind of small but if you look at it as a carry out pizza place you will overlook it!
The price is just right, we ordered a 18inch pizza, half and half(half is sausage pepperoni and the other half is vodka pizza) for the two adult and two slice of cheese pizza for the kids, only cost $40
The service is amazing! These staffs, all three of them, were extremely welcoming! its actually better than a dine in restaurant! The staff would take his time to explain each pizza they have available. I think you actually get the personal attention with the cashier, with the chef and the guy who give you the pizza when its out. While you are eating, each of them would ask you how the pizza is! The services is much much better than most restaurant who command you for 18% tips lol
The crust is crispy but yet very soft, the sauce is phenomenal and honestly there so much fresh toppings I honest cant tell if there any cheese on...
