Wilkes Country Deli — Restaurant in Fair Lawn

I visit Kris and Kathy daily for lunch, they make absolutely the best chicken noodle soup I've ever had. All the food is delicious. I love their fresh home made roast beef sandwiches, their chicken salad, macaroni salads are so good too. Cant go wrong with their chicken cutlet sandwiches either. I'm posting this today because they are closed for the Christmas/New Years break, which is overly-well deserved, but I am in withdrawal right now, lol. That is how amazing the food is to me. These girls work very hard and make all their food with love. All local businesses should try them out. But be warned, you may end up going their every day for breakfast...

Wilkes Country Deli is the absolute best!!! The two ladies (Kathy, and the other name slips my mind) who run it are amazing. The food is outstanding and reasonably priced. They have different inventive soups that are good. Their chili and the meatloaf are lights out. I love the turkey croissant sandwich (with cranberry mayo) and my brother loves the Godmother (grilled balsamic chicken, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, red onion, mixed greens & red pepper-basil spread on a grilled hero roll). Their buffalo chicken sandwich with avocado is amazing too...can't go...

All fresh foods made in house are delicious. Kris & Kathy do a great job, Gloria is always there to greet you with a smile, & Mike; well, he tries. Needs to be focused otherwise you get mayo instead of mustard. LOl! It's a good local mom & pop type country deli. The type of icon we miss in today's market.
