This restaurant is what I consider a "Hole in the Wall Gem". Last month I came as a recommendation from my AA Advantage Dining program. My first visit was good. Surprisingly, they made really decent Vietnamese Pho. This was unexpected and delightful. We also had the pineapple fried rice and yellow curry with chicken. Heat level 1, which was much milder than I expected.
Tonight was my 2nd visit and it was better than the first. They have an extensive menu so I wanted to try something new. Also, I wanted to move up the heat from 1 to 2. 2 turned out to be the perfect heat for us.
#59 - Clay Pot Shrimp was delicious! We counted 8 large shrimp that was peeled and de-veined. #29 - Yellow Curry with chicken is a staple for us when it comes to Thai food, and the flavor was perfect. #64 - The Queen's Fried Rice was delicious. I had the regular pineapple fried rice last time and was thinking it needed cashews. So I ordered this one and it as amazing. It had the cashews along with shrimp, chicken and a hint of ginger.
This is turning out to be a real favorite and I look forward to returning soon. Next time, I'm going to order it...
Read moreOMG! I happened to find this wonderful restaurant by accident while in the neighborhood and since I haven't had any good Thai food in years I decided to give it a try. What a treasure I found! I can't begin to tell you how delicious my lunch was and it was everything a good Panang Curry should be. Spicy and with the right amount of hot is was just so tasty with the delicate flavor of coconut and cream to make it just right. It has green beans and cucumbers slices in the sauce too. The Spring Roll with the sauce on the side was an added bonus. I think my photograph shows all the items that come with the lunch with the exception of the cup of chicken & rice soup served at the beginning. Okay if I haven't given you enough reason to try this restaurant you will miss out on a great experience. I have been to many states and traveled outside the U.S. and this is my favorite! The waitress was...
Read moreThis was my first visit to Bangkok Thai and I ordered the Fresh Rolls with Shrimp and Pad Thai. The rolls were large and very fresh. The peanut sauce was a bit runny for dipping and lacked flavor, but the plum sauce was absolutely delicious. I would have preferred more mint and less lettuce, but overall these were good and I would order them again.
The Pad Thai was very disappointing, especially since the reviews I read were glowing. The dish was not sauced enough and the all white meat chicken was so dry I could not eat it. I literally picked all of the chicken out and tossed it in the bin. I also missed the cilantro which I've had on Pad Thai in other restaurants.
Three stars because the Fresh Rolls were good and the gal at the counter (I ordered to go) was sweet, but the Pad Thai was not something I would ever...
