I recently had the pleasure of dining at For The Win, and my overall experience left me with a positive impression. Specializing in smash burgers, this establishment offers a delicious take on a classic favorite.
The star of the show was, undoubtedly, the smash burger. Cooked to perfection with a delectably crispy exterior and a juicy, flavorful interior, it showcased the expertise of the kitchen. The combination of quality ingredients and careful preparation made it clear that For The Win takes pride in delivering a top-notch burger experience.
While the prices are on the higher side, I found the quality of the burger justified the cost. The attention to detail in crafting the perfect smash burger, along with the overall ambiance of the restaurant, created an enjoyable dining atmosphere.
The menu, although focused on burgers, offers a variety of options to cater to different tastes. The accompanying sides complemented the main course well, providing a satisfying and well-rounded meal.
The only drawback worth noting is the somewhat elevated pricing. However, given the quality of the food and the positive aspects of the dining experience, I would still consider returning for another round of For The Win's smash burgers.
In conclusion, if you're a fan of smash burgers and appreciate a restaurant that prioritizes taste and quality, For The Win is worth a visit. While it might be a tad pricey, the overall dining experience and the scrumptious smash burgers make it a place I would be inclined to return to for another...
Read moreJust like many of you, we were probably intrigued with For the Win thanks to social media heads claiming it to be one of the best smash burger joints around.
Unfortunately, this is not a statement my family and I agree with and I'll tell you why.
First off, we have tried a handful of these smashburger joints (again, thanks to IG fave lists) and everyone of them has an amazing smell of burgers being cooked on the burner. Well...For the Win smelled like wet rag.
We were able to snag one out of the two tables that are outside for consumers. It was in direct sunlight, but that's not FTW's fault. As soon as our order was done, it was nicely delivered to us.
The burger: Not the best but it wasn't awful. The kids didn't like the sauce, but I didn't mind it.
The brussel sprouts: Not bad. Probably the fave out of what we ordered. Lightly salted and still had a good crunch.
The fries: The least favorite. Remember, the came out fresh, but they were soggy as heck! And it wasn't because of the toppings on them, because if you had grabbed any of the fries without the stuff, it went limp reeeeal quick.
Disappointed, but happy we tried it.
By the way, parking can be a pain! It's too tiny and tight. We were fortunate enough to get a spot in front, so that was nice, but I could see it being an issue...
Read moreNestled in a business plaza on the boulevard of cars, this location is a much more relaxed one to get to. First time trying so we got a standard smash burger and one altered one without the fry sauce and added lettuce tomato and pickles. For a barebones standard smash cheeseburger at $10 seems a bit pricey given it’s just bread meat cheese fry sauce and a pickle. They do go a bit hard on the sauce not to mention how runny it is. And while it’s all tasty, it’s also just very salty. If you have issues with high blood pressure, get checked after lunch! The fries are good but also very salty. When we removed the sauce and added extra ingredients, it balanced out the burger a bit better. Service is alright. They have a kiosk now so you basically just dealing with the cooks. They had a few other options but we really only came to try the staples. Limited seating inside which as you can see most people tend to take up more than one space for some reason. But you can sit outside easily as well. Drinks are pricey though. $4.50 for a Topo Chico is highway robbery. Save your cash for the burgers and just buy one at a convenience store or market...
