I ordered XRCHIK by phone; 2. My husband picked the order up in Glendale. Turned out it was wrong order-regular pork bbq; 3. I called and spoke to the woman who took my order, and claimed that she took the right order. I had several witnesses who heard me repeating XRCHIK many times on the phone; 4. It was closing time so I offered to keep the order in the fridge untouched till next morning, or to return it then and get the correct order; I was put on hold; I was transferred to the owner who apologized and offered to get the right order. I appreciated the gesture and as reluctant as my husband was to drive another 50+ miles round trip to get the right order and as tired as we all were at the end of the day and hungry, he was nice enough to drive. The owner said we would pay the difference of $15 :-) Shows you how generous. 6. I asked the owner if he wanted me to return the untouched wrong order, and he said he couldn't give it to other customers so what was the point. I told my husband before he took off that the owner did not want the order back. 7. When my husband went to pick up new xrchik order, he called me and said that they wanted the BBQ order back. 8. He put the owner back on the phone, instead of being a REAL BUSINESS PERSON, not a CHEAP penny pitcher, the owner claimed that he did tell me to return the wrong order. Then he said, his words "we wanted the extra order because we consumed the wrong order and now needed a free ride". That was the most unethical rude accusation that I had ever endured. I offered to text a real life picture. Refused. DEAR HAMLETS KITCHEN OWNER: Unlike your average customer, I am willing to pay more to get what I want, and I am willing to drive long miles to get decent food, hence I don't care about the cost of the food: you get what you pay for. If I wanted to order regular pork BBQ, I would not drive 50+ miles to get we have excellent BBQ joints locally or we can make it ourselves. DON'T FLATTER YOURSELF. The SOLE REASON I phoned my order in was for XRCHIK ONLY, because no other BBQ joint carries it. KNOW and UNDERSTAND, that not everyone is a SCROOGE and MONEYGRUBBER like you. There ARE people like me who care less for food price if it's quality and prepared according to order. There ARE people like me who are willing to drive 50+ miles for good food. Then there are TIGHTWAD and BRAZEN business owners like you who strive at the customer's expense. You lack the mind and tactics of a successful business owner. Your worker messed up the order, the least you could to fix it by making the right order free of charge or simply accepting the difference. Would it make your any poorer? Instead you even charged EXTRA $6.00 to use my debit card (btw, on the phone I was told that you only ACCEPTED CASH). Please be aware that what you did and the amount of the fee you charged is illegal, and I could file a claim against your unfair business practices, but I will not. Because I am on a much higher level than you, and I am a better person. This review is enough to warn unsuspected potential customers. So a long painful day in my current medical condition, being too tired to cook, and I ordered XRCHIK that cost me 1/4 tank gas, nearly 200+ miles, and $106. For that price we could dine in our favorite restaurant and receive courteous service. I feel sorry for you. You might own a profitable business, yet you loose a customer for $66 when your own employee screwed up the order, instead of remedying the situation using good judgment. Being a mindful person, I treat this incident as a donation to a homeless or needy person. I think you needed it more than me, that's why you did what you did: basically ripped us off. And for your information, we do not eat pork BBQ, so I gave the entire order to the neighbor next house. I did a 'RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS". You should do it too sometimes. Good for business, good for mind! I don't need free stuff, I have more than enough money for food, and some more. THERE IS...
