Waffa's kitchen catered our wedding this past August. My wife and I were deciding over several caterers before a friend suggested Waffa's kitchen and the moment we tried their food we knew they were the ones for our day.
Their food is exceptional and arguably the best Mediterranean food I have ever had. Their lemony salmon, moist and tender beef kebabs, and meat pie topped off with a squeeze of lemon and the just right hint of molasses to sweeten are a must try. We had multiple guests say it was the best wedding food they have ever had. Filipinos like my family love to complain about food catered at weddings but we heard zero negative feedback. My uncle even came up to me a few weeks later just to tell me he loved our wedding because it was the first wedding my auntie did not complain about the food.
Waffa's customer service was excellent. John, Tony, and the rest of their crew really took care of us and every need that we had. From the day my wife and I went to try their food and Tony gave us a complimentary meat pie fresh from the oven, to them going out of the way to make sure my family had a worry free tasting, to taking care of our guests and dealing with the many rules of our venue; Waffa's was professional and impeccable. If you want the food at your wedding to be what is remembered and different from American traditional, I highly suggest going to try...
Read moreWe decided to go with Waffa's for our small backyard wedding reception and couldn't have had a better experience! Tony and John were beyond professional from first inquiring about the order, to double checking our counts as we approached the date, and delivering on time with staff that were the perfect blend of friendly and professional (dressed up too!)! Aside from the 5-star service we received the food was absolutely perfect! The salmon entrée was seasoned and melted in your mouth, the chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the falafel was crispy and filling! Literally couldn't have had better service, not to mention how accommodating they were when it came to steering clear of food allergies as well! They completely understood how stressful wedding planning was, and made us feel comforted in their ability to provide a quality dining experience! Dishes were served in nice place settings with beautifully ornate garnishes and flavors! All of our guests were over the moon about the food, and were asking who had made it! If you are on the fence about using Waffa's for your next event, give them a call yourself and John or Tony will absolutely make your event full of some of the finest Mediterranean foods you'll ever have the pleasure of enjoying! (Also this goes without saying, but the hummus and baba ghanoush are the best...
Read moreYUCK! Bad vibes and even worse food! Truly disgusting! A shameful example of “Mediterranean food”. And clearly hospitality. So much is off about this place. Not sure why the SGV struggles so hard with connecting the public to this kind of food. It seems people are eager and open minded enough. Don’t be fooled- at it’s core, it is supposed to be about bountiful portions (and value), fresh ingredients, vibrant flavors and a PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. Traditionally prepared lovingly and meticulously to feed large groups and presented with care. Yet the go-to business model for these types of restaurants is always a sloppy, overpriced and underwhelming concoction with a sad old pita nobody really asked for. You are sorely mistaken if you think this is the type of cuisine various cultures have been enjoying for decades. If this place closes nobody will miss it. My hesitance to try was justified. For food that won’t leave a bad taste in your mouth- check out the various restaurants and bakeries in Anaheim, the OG Zankou in Pasadena and enjoy the cafe at Red Tomatoes Farmers Market in Rancho for not only an amazing meal, but the best hummus you will ever have...
