Aromas 1781 Cafe — Restaurant in Gloucester Point

Excellent coffee shop hidden in the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown! The coffee shop is located off the lobby, so it’s easily accessible even if you’re not visiting the museum - great place to meet up for coffee and go for a walk by the river, and a nice patio if the weather is good. Also a good spot to work or read a book.

I’m a pretty boring latte girl, but friends have spoken highly of the chai and the smoothies! (I can also heartily recommend the phenomenal ice cream sandwiches!)

I found Aromas to be a hidden gem. Unlike the big box coffee houses, which can get over crowded and loud, Aromas provided a clean, quaint environment with great service and great coffee.

I was invited to go to a Christmas event. My friend and I made a gingerbread house. I had so much fun. The location of Aromas is perfect inside the museum. A nice place to chill with friends or just sip coffee and relax. Everyone was very friendly and the prices great. I had three lattes and a muffin.
