Final update/follow-up from 1st and last dining experience:

Sadly, I did not hear back from Mr. S. Boyer when I contacted him (May 22nd via text) about his offer of my family and I dining there again and giving this establishment a second try. I was hoping that we would have had the chance to experience what he said the restaurant could and should have been the initial time.

I don't know if he has left the establishment and therefore is no longer involved or invested in talking to partons (he reached out to me 1st), or if they really don't care and had the hopes that I'd totally remove my review after the conversation he and I had. Even if he is no longer there a text back would have been appreciated.

It is really sad and disappointing, but my family and I learned a lesson, we wint go were we are not valued...and we have decided to eat elsewhere when in the area again. It will not be at either of the three establishments ran by this company (2) in Yorktown and (1) in Williamsburg.

I have eaten may places and have had good and bad experiences over the years...some I never leave a review for and some I do...but this restaurant, if the management really tried to disrespect us that evening and tried to smooth it over, then lied to our face...it is truly despicable. Lesson learned and hopefully, no one else is put in the same position to learn the hard way as well. To the management...you really need to do better!

Update to previous review titled: Underwhelmed and Highly disappointed

After leaving that previous review, Steven from the establishment reached out to us to discuss our dining experience I previously wrote about. He listened carefully, asked questions to improve their service for the future, shared with me what they saw on their end for our tab. Turns out, InKind didn't have things right on either of our tickets. We paid what it said to pay in full (but it seems it didn't calculate tax according to the restaurants ticket, which was different from ours)! I love InKind, but was sad to see that it caused confusion. He also explained that the very next day InKind caused an issue on someone else's ticket too, so it wasn't just us.

Now about the cold food and long wait, Steven was disappointed to hear that the experience wasn't to our liking and he offered us to come back and try the sister restaurant next door, as I explained we wanted to eat there first that evening, but it had a long wait to be seated. He said he invites us back and he offered to be there personally, to make sure that our experience is a great one like he knows his establishments can deliver! I told him we were not from the area, but come back from time to time and I'll call him the next time we are headed over that way.

All in all, when we had dined there I was not happy at first, I actually was offended...but talking with Steven and try to figure out where things went wrong reassured me that it wasn't an attack on our character or discrimination...it really truly was a perfect storm of new marketing/technology (for them) acting up, newer staff and a resturant trying to get the kinks out.

Steven also said he started the program about giving input as to how they were doing and what can be improved and he was disappointed we didn't get that offer extended to us at the conclusion of our meal and he'll be following up with the staff members about it.

Steven, thank you for everything! You let us know that you appreciated us spending our money and time at your establishment and you truly value us as your customers, enough to fix the issues and go the extra mile ...and that speaks volumes! See you soon...I am truly hopeful I can leave a 5-Star review when...

I feel taken advantage of. My husband wanted to surprise me for Mother’s Day. We have 3 children, and this was supposed to be a nice dinner for us after a day of children’s birthday parties and flag football games. I was unaware of the prices. $28 per child and $59 per adult. For $345, I feel this was not even golden coral quality. I was extremely disappointed and a little grossed out. The charcuterie was picked over to the point it was 3 pieces of salalmi and cheese left. The bagels and bread selection were hard as a rock. My son tried to eat a bagel and couldn’t bite into it! Brunch items were definitely there since 10 am brunch…it was 5:45 when we arrived for dinner about 9/10 items were dried out and looked pretty unappetizing. Everything was on that warming tray since brunch I suppose. The children shared a waffle that you can get for free at a hotel breakfast. I’m confused by the pricing and old food that was presented. The only items from the list that were worth mentioning were shrimp Mac n cheese and shrimp cocktail. The prime rib was extremely rare like a smoke ring around it and the rest seemed raw inside. The desserts were out all day when they brought it to us it was dry as a bone. Just…yuck. My husband didn’t want to complain and ruin Mother’s Day since the guys tried to be thoughtful. But it was not worth $28 per child or $60 per adult. At best it should have been $15 a child and $35 per adult with the lack of edible food!! We were definitely not happy. I wish I had seen the bill before my husband paid $345!!! That’s insane. However, the young wait staff was very nice and polite. We will probably never eat here again. I would warn people because that was a horrible meal. They put 20% gratuity on my table as well. It was 5,8,16 year old sons at our table with me and my husband. All I can think about is how we could have gone to a nice sushi or hibachi restaurant and spent half of this and been extremely satisfied. I’m kind of scared we will have food poisoning actually. If health inspector saw that food presentation….gross. I am kicking myself for not saying anything while...

It was a truly special dinner.

Bella was a great server! She did a great job of answering menu questions and recommending wines to pair with each entree.

The candied bacon is so good and a great starter. We are it too fast to get a picture!

The hush puppies were perfect. Crisp and sweet on the outside and warm and moist in the middle.

The charcuterie board was a hit! Some of the favorites were the gorgonzola spread, all of the house made pickled items and the berry mostarda. It is such a fun and delicious way to start the meal.

The tomahawk pork chops were a show stopper! The presentation was awesome and we loved them. They were perfectly breaded, excellently seasoned and very tender. We substituted the pork fat green beans for the collard greens. The picture does not do this dish justice, it was huge!

We loved the short rib ragu and couldn't get over how good the short ribs and sauce were. The meat was very tender and the pasta was perfectly cooked.

In the shrimp, scallops and mussels bucatini alfredo, everything was perfectly cooked and the dish was a great blend of sweet and savory.

The butter poached halibut was a perfectly designed and executed dish. Everything worked together without being over the top. The apple cider cream sauce was the highlight of the dish!

The Apple Cider Cream Sauce was very popular among everyone! We asked for some to put on the pork chop, which was a delicious addition.

After dinner we enjoyed the Oreo Cheesecake and The Chocolate Mousse. Both were the perfect way to cap off an incredible meal. We are them too fast to get a picture!

The ambiance was a perfect balance. The restaurant is very beautiful and formal while the music mix and friendly service made it more approachable and not stuffy.

What a view! We sat next to the windows and watched the sun set over the York River as we enjoyed our meal.

We can't imagine a better dining experience and meal! We can't...

Extremely disappointing Thanksgiving buffet. Seated 1 hour after reservation time which was ok. Main issue was lack of food, 1st plate- full Caesar salad bowl, but no dressing, empty meat/cheese, no deviled eggs (in fact never saw a deviled egg), no stuffing, no Mac & cheese. Carving station served by staff that doesn’t know how to serve the meat, placed handful of ham scraps on the plate. Politely told server about the outages, went back for 2nd plate, same issues with food availability, told server a 2nd time, no visit by other servers or management like described in other reviews, it’s like our experience was a different restaurant or the reviews are from staff family and friends who definitely describe a 360 degree experience from ours. Overall, a poorly executed buffet dinner, $150 for 2 and we ate 3 oz of protein, 2 spoons of mashed potatoes, 2 spoons of Mac and cheese, 3 bites of stuffing and a roll and corn bread. We don’t know if the mgmt and staff have ever served a catering-style buffet, but sure seemed like it. Staff everywhere, not sure what they were doing in all honesty, 2 table touches, basics ignored (dressing empty, easy batch cooked items like stuffing, mac), apps like veggies and meats, deviled eggs etc… I provide this review as an honest opinion, we will be reaching out directly, as an industry vet, providing a holiday meal is a noble effort, not sure blame falls on any individual, here is to hoping the lesson is learned. Thanks
