Wow. Come here if you have time to browse. This Bookshop is one of the best book and antiquity stores I've ever been in. I visit alot of bookstores all over the USA, this Yorktown Bookshop has amazing and very very interesting inventory. The gentleman who was working the desk was very kind and nice. The prices are very reasonable as well. Definitely be back.

I visited the rare book store today and was surprised it was not open. The sign indicates opens at 12am and closes at 6pm. Based on these hours the shop is open 18 hours a day. I was there at ten minutes past 12 noon or 12pm and not open. I look forward to next visit. Maybe the shop will be open.

Pretty cool antique store that one could spend hours browsing. Some of their used books are overpriced, but some are fantastic deals as well! If you're in the area, make sure you stop by.

This could be a great used bookstore/antique shop except for the elderly man who runs the store. While I was initially excited to browse through their selection of books and vintage merchandise, my encounter with the elderly man who ran the store left a sour taste in my mouth. His lack of basic courtesy was disheartening, and it overshadowed any positive aspects the store might have had. When I brought my selection of one used book and one vintage political campaign button to the checkout counter, he did not know the prices. When I estimated the price based on comparable merchandise, he told me I was wrong. That's right...he didn't know the prices but somehow he did know I was wrong. It didn't make sense to me either. I hope that the owner recognizes the importance of treating customers with respect and makes an effort to improve his approach to basic...

Wow! What a super cool and eccectic assemblage! This is a great place to wander when you want your intellect tickeled or your imagination sparked. I think you could find some really cool gifts there too, so long as you are friends with interesting people. NOTE: it's a bit of a mess and just a hair's breath away from looking like a hoard. Some aisles are barely passable where piles of stuff flow out from under and sometimes over other things. I did pick up a few things that had rodent poop on them, so that wasn't good... but I was rummaging ;o) Where things are well organized onto shelves, those shelves are tiddy and full of interesting treasures. We will...

Great little antique bookstore shop, terrible customer service. Browsed for about a half hour, picked out two trinkets and went to checkout. Cashier (older male gentlemen) was rude from the start. Then, after paying I asked if breakable items could possibly we wrapped, as he didn’t offer. He threw two pieces of newspaper on the counter. I asked it it’s DIY? He responded, “yeah I’m a bookstore, I’m not into that.” I you have a shop that sells breakable merchandise, I feel as though they should be “into” helping customers wrap that merchandise, as any other retailer would. I love this area and the shops, but will not be returning to...
