I am always surprised when I find superlative food in a strip mall. I guess because most of the good restaurants I have eaten at are stand alone. Cotardos is one of the OMG this place is awesome spots. I've been eating there for several months and it took me this long to write the review because I forget to take pictures before I dig into my meal. The service is top tier. Efficient and friendly without being overbearing. The menu is extensive with pasta, meat and seafood entrees as well as some interesting apps such as Black Ravioli which is ricotta and shrimp filled ravioli sauteed in a special sauce. Every dinner meal includes soup of the day, salad with your choice of several dressings, garlic bread and an entree. Of course I already have several favorite main dishes. I started with the parms. You can choose eggplant, chicken, flounder, shrimp or veal or you can split the dish with two different choices on the same plate for a small additional charge. My newest obsession is the lasagna. It is served piping hot covered with just the right portions of mozzarella and sauce topping it. It is the closest to homemade I have ever had and absolutely delicious. I sometimes also order a side of either sausage or meatballs which are both great but by the time I start eating them I am already full so they end up in a box for a late night snack. My favorite desserts are the espresso Crème brûlée and the Tiramisu. Both homemade and delicious. I know I am rambling on but I can't say enough about Cotardos. The service and food are outstanding and at...
Read moreI went there because my mom see this place a couple weeks ago and she was so excited to try a new Italian place, because we always go to Olive Garden. The place feels so comfortable, we love it. My waitress only had like 3 tables but she was super slow anyway. We waited more than 30 minutes for our food and I am a chef, nothing that was on the plate, it took more than 15 minutes to prepare. The tables that arrived after us had their food faster. Also, she only showed us a menu that did not even have a children's menu, when we was there with my 2yrs old daughter. We assume that that was the regular menu until we see other people with a different one, I considered so disrespectful the fact that they show us a short menu, when is the first time that we went there. My mom order for me because I went to the bathroom when she came so she ask for a side Caesar salad, she said that they don’t have ‘side’ that she have the regular one, so my mom choose me that because she didn’t know what else I want, she didn’t ask my mom what kind of salad she wanted because she ‘assumed’ that we were going to share the same salad, a server NEVER can assume something when is about the customer, that’s a 101 rule on servers. Besides that, the waitress was nice, but the service was sooooo slow. I definitely do not recommend it to any of my friends. I prefer to keep going to Olive Garden, restaurant that is always busy and I never had to wait more than 30 not even for get a...
Read moreI rated Cotardo's Restaurant with 5 stars for the following reasons: This is a first time experience for all of us. My sister and I gave a surprise Graduation dinner to our other sister who loves authentic Italian food. I found this gem of a restaurant in our local area. I called and inquired about bringing balloons and a cake and they said we could. Upon arrival, our reserved table of 11 was ready and the table setting looked pretty & presentable. My Server's name is Jeff and in my opinion he did an extraordinary job! Why? because he literally catered to my every need. He worked with me to make sure the surprise went without a hitch. His willingness to give us great service was evident. He was knowledgable with the menu and prompt with our food. The food, absolutely tasty and delicious. We came on a day they served creamy tomato soup and Boy! let me tell you what a treat! and with their awesome toasty garlic bread. No complaints from anybody concerning their food. We all enjoyed ourselves, we felt very welcomed & comfortable, it was a very intimate setting, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant allows BYOB, so I went to the liquor store to buy sparkling apple cider for a toast. I am impressed with the service we recieved and how accomodating they were toward us. I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you Mr Frank & Jeff for excellent customer service and...
