Caffe Sicilia — Restaurant in Gloucester

It feels like little Italy here--Italian products for sale, Italian pastry, and Italian older men hanging outside, smoking, and inside--catching up. The espresso and cappuccino are amazing--I always want to order 3 of them, ha! The biscotti is great. The people who work there are nice. It's a great little community bakery. The tiramisu is amazing as are the cannoli. I've gone there for a sweet after dinner at one of the restaurants on Main Street and am always happy.

However... I would council against the strawberry shortcake--we ordered it for my Dad's birthday and the frosting was more frosting-y than whipped creamy and it was oddly salty. Really not delicious--we tossed it. Stick to the...

Do NOT miss this bakery if you are in the area! The baked goods are FLAWLESS, delicious, and incredibly crafted and authentic Italian. We tried the glazed lemon cookies, almond macaroons, chocolate mousse cake, and the raspberry macarons. The woman working behind the counter was so friendly and told us she was part of the family that owns the bakery and she helps bake everything from scratch! I went in twice this weekend, which was the St. Peter's Fiesta weekend, so it was PACKED. The first night I got the best, freshest cannoli I've ever had. The girl waiting on me explained that they hand fill each of them when you order, which means the shell doesn't get soggy, and everyting is made day of.
