The best hollandaise sauce in the world! I am very picky about hollandaise sauce and asked for it on the side so I can try it before its smothered in my food. It was very good, hearty and a yummy tang at the end and best of all not sweet! I've had some that were not to my taste. The fish cake benedict was perfect, not too salty and the english muffin on the bottom wasn't soggy or too toasty. The homefries were on another level, probably the best I've ever had. The boys loved their plates too, eggs benedict with corn beef hash. Adding to it was endless hot coffee that tasted very good. I'm usually a light sugar and cream girl but this coffee flavor was perfect for me without anything in it. And And And, the famous big coffee cake? 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌 I don't even like cinnamon rolls and I ate it. Definitely a shared item though it is parge! They make muffins too and it was good, cakey and moist! Very cute place and the staff, is on point and very kind, our waitress Amy was very pleasant and down to earth! Def try out this place!!!! Thank you Mom's Kitchen!

This is a fun locally owned spot with great diner food and a staffmosphere (staff atmosphere) that makes it very informal. They're busy but there's always a table rotating so wait it out. I wanted take away but they had orders "up the ying yang" and couldn't oblige me so I took the "time out" seat at the end of a partially occupied table (with the intent to order, doggie bag and go) but the random seat assignment made the visit SO MUCH FUN 😊. My server was "midget" and it couldn't have been more MOM than her directness & no bs vibe. 😁 I got two breakfasts because I wanted one for a later lunch. Imagine your dining room connected to your small kitchen and you have the layout. Now imagine your childhood best friend's mom running the place - that's the informal direct mom vibe that made it fun.

We loved this place so much, we’ve eaten there twice on our five nights stay and we’ll probably eat there one or two more times. It is right next to our hotel, which is super convenient. They have a lot of specialty items that are so delicious. I want to try it all. The mom’s special is my favorite so far but the fish cakes (although I didn’t love the traditional Boston style beans served with the fish cakes, I’m still glad I tried them) and biscuits and gravy were really good too. I love the seasoning they put on the potatoes and in the gravy. Everyone around us was raving about the coffee rolls. That might be our next thing we try. Their servers are great and very sweet. I love the adorable hand drawn portrait of “Mom" hanging up in the restaurant.

Every year we spend some time in Gloucester and thankfully we found this fantastic eatery for breakfast! This was the first time in almost a decade that I had a cup of coffee worthy of wanting seconds, and even thirds, if I hadn't been preparing for the return home. The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection and the home fries were just the right combo of crispy and peppery! The highlight though was the giant size cinnamon roll; an absolutely sweet treat filled with cinnamon and a mouth melting buttery crust overflowing with frosting. It was so large we took it with us to enjoy later! Our server, Carol, was just as sweet! She was so attentive, and made sure that we felt like family while eating in Mom's Kitchen! We have found our go to place for breakfast and lunch from now on when we are in Gloucester and my only disappointment is that we didn't...

Well damn. I love a diner very much. And this place delivers. Strolled I’m at 5:30 am while I let my wife sleep in at the Beauport hotel next door. Grabbed her a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel to go, and I settled into a fish cake Benedict, side of hash. The hash was properly ground and grilled, delicious. The fish cakes on the Benny were amazing, and a truly astounding amount of killer hollandaise. With some perfect home fries. A few cups of coffee, listening to local fishermen complain about everything from the price of rigging to various new regulations (rightly so) and an amazing breakfast made for a great morning. And a super friendly staff. Pretty obvious that I wasn’t headed out on a boat at anytime that day and I was still warmly and happily taken care of. If this place was around the corner from my house I’d be there...
