TLDR; expensive, mediocre food that tastes store bought and frozen, and very slow service. My husband and I were there yesterday for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We actually dined here on our wedding night, a year ago- that’s why we chose this place. The ambiance is nice, great decor, view etc. however, the food is extremely sub par. We ordered the crab cakes for an app- which was good but is hard to mess up. My husband ordered a NY strip, and he stated that it was ok, but was overly salted and was difficult to eat as such. He also said he would have hoped for more out of a $48 steak…. He said that the fried onions tasted like the kind you can get out of a can at the grocery store. He also didn’t much care for the Italian cream soda, that was a very off tasting drink I had the lobster linguine (without pancetta) it was not great. And also for $48 I expected a lot more. It honestly tasted like frozen lobster and had the weirdest after taste. I found several shells in my meal too, which I wouldn’t have expected with those prices. I brought it home as leftovers and tried to save it with olive oil and Parmesan and it did not help. I couldn’t finish it which was a shame, since I hate wasting money and food. The server was nice enough but kind of scarce, and the service was incredibly slow. There were only 3 other parties there when we went and it took about 45 minutes for us to get our food. Also I did observe a lot of staff hanging around on their phones and chatting- which generally doesn’t bother me per se, but I am stating that for a restaurant of this caliber I did expect more. After $175 bill for 2 people, we were very disappointed and won’t be returning for our next anniversary as we had initially hoped to.

I'd say 4 1/2 stars. There were a few random things that take away the last half of a star. I had all of my meals here for my 2 day stay. I arrived and was drooling over the menu. Not over the price as much. Service was impeccable. Clam chowder was lovely. It was not shoved full of potatoes which I appreciated. The fried duck wings where a huge portion. Consider them a meal. The butternut squash and sweet potato puree was perfect. I wanted to try the wild mushrooms as well. The bread was fresh and warm and the olive oil high quality. Next was breakfast where I had a belgian waffle and sausage links. i removed the fruit from the waffle. The strawberries were lovely. The maple syrup however tasted a bit burnt to me. The wedding dinner was nice. I had what was maybe prime rib in some type of reduction. Red wine I think. It was on top of a fried hash brown that was a bit overdone and tough. The buffet on the weekend did in that last half star. Someone didn't clean whatever was used to separate the butter. It tasted of onion. The creme brulee oatmeal was way to much sugar and way to little oatmeal. I really like oatmeal. And the oatmeal I did fish out was very tough. The fruit on it was excellent. My request for hot chocolate startled my server. She did go find some. I may be the only adult I know that dislikes coffee.

Anniversary dinner for the win. We were seated in front of the windows inside; the view was perfect and romantic. Tables were not SUPER close together so you can enjoy your personal space. Got the regular seafood tower to start. Everything was perfect and fresh; just enough for 2 people. Cocktails were that perfect mix of stiff, but delicious. Disappointed in myself I don't have pictures of the entrees, but FINALLY a place that didn't ask me how I wanted the tuna steak cooked. Sesame crusted tuna was seared to perfection on the outside and deliciously raw on the inside WITHOUT having to ask. A dish I will remember till the next celebration. My husband's rave - "Best scallops I've ever had". And I will agree. Finished our tab and were so struck by the sunset we grabbed another drink at the bar with leather couches. Waited for someone to leave the rocking chairs along the wire fencing on the deck where we finished off the night. Views and vibes were perfect for enjoying an entire romantic evening in one spot. Will be back and highly recommend for a special evening.
