I experienced the worst customer service on Monday⌠I was met at the door by a McDonaldâs worker that told me that her lobby was closed due to being short-staffed (even though I counted 10+ workers and customers standing in the lobby).. so I ask âis it okay if we (my nephew and lil cousins) order food through the drive-thru and go to the playland area to play and the McDonaldâs worker told me âyesâ. After we (my nephew and lil cousins) order our food and sit down in the Playland area and start eating, we were approached by another McDonalds worker who told me âwe need to leaveâ , so ofcourse im confused because I was just told by the female worker that we are allowed to sit in there and the kids can play (hence itâs my nephewâs BIRTHDAY and he wanted to play in the Playland area with his cousins to celebrate)⌠so I ask male worker âcan I please to a manager?â he walks out and walks right back in and says âsheâs busy at the moment maâam, but you guys need to leaveâ so I says again âI need to speak to a manager and get a refund or voucher since I was told one thing by one worker and another thing before I ordered food and now that weâve sat down and starting eating, Iâm getting told we need to leaveâ . As Iâm a gathering up our food and walking out, the boys (my nephew and little cousins) wanted refills, so as they are getting more to drink, the sodas are splashing on their shirts and the guy who told us âwe need to leaveâ is sitting there watching instead of saying âsorry maâam, we just turned the machine offâ or offering to fill up their cups in the drive-thru area. I go to speak with the âmanagerâ to explain the situation to her about how rude her male worker was to us and asked her to admit what she said to all her coworkers about us being able to order food through the drive-thru and play in Playland. She starts cussing and threatening to call the police because I am asking for a voucher or refund, so moral of the story⌠donât go to this McDonaldâs.....
   Read moreOnce again I decided to test the mobile app. Tjis time I ordered it and chose to go in to pick up my order. The ordering part of the process once again was easy, even with me having to change my payment method. However, once I arrived at the Godfrey location, my travails began. I walked in and was met by 3 different employees who greeted me. As I looked around to determine what my next step should be, one of the greeters turned to me and, noticing my phone in hand, directed me to one of 2 kiosks, and advised I should start there. I held up my phone with my order number and said, "already done". I then went to the counter and had similar success. The app said I should "look for my order at the pick-up point". I saw a display to the left of the menu, but it showed "no Wi-Fi signal" or something similar. The team member at the counter couldn't find my order and called a manager over who also couldn't find it initially. She then checked with the display by the grill and found my order. She advised it would shortly be ready. So I waited. I watched as order after order came out. I once again was feeling left out. I overheard the manager that previously couldn't find my order direct a crew member to take an order out for a mobile pay customer. I realized it was my food. I stepped up and asked what it was, had them verify where it was ordered, then advised it was the order I requested to pick up 10 minutes earlier. No matter how many times we order Chicken nuggets, they always manage to for get our sauce choices, even the ones we pay EXTRA for. I'm still clueless because I use to work at this McDonald's back in 2003, when store manager at the time run the restaurant, NOT the crew members. But when someone ordered chicken nuggets and their sauce choice was PURE honey, they automatically got 4 of them if a customer order a 10 pc nuggets. Do to how small the honey packet is. Who the hell can enjoy all their nuggets with just 2 PURE honey for a 10 pc? By the time you get to your 4 going 5 pc both packets of honey is gone. That's only dipping once. Not every customer dip the same. Also, with the other choice of sauce they get 3 for 10 pc, not 2. When customers ordered 20 pc, they got 6 not 4. McDonald's is charging for extra sauce packets is ridiculous, when the crew members doesn't even give you the sauces that "automatically" comes with order to begin with! They crew BAGING NEED to pay ATTENTION to the FULL screen instead of TALKING about stuff that's not work related! They MAYBE they can ACTUALLY count the sauces INCLUDING the additional ones that CUSTOMERS paid FOR!
