Davanni's Pizza & Hot Hoagies — Restaurant in Golden Valley

I will NEVER do business here again as they treat perspective employees rudely. The website says “Create an environment where people, “Care, Work Hard, and Have Fun.” My son is 15 years old and Davanni’s was the first job he has ever applied for and the first interview he has ever had. The interviewer said she would not give him the interview because he was 2 minutes late. First off he was NOT late. He was there on time but was unsure where to go or who to talk to so he may not have talked to the interviewer until 2 minutes after his appointment time but he was there on time and no one asked him anything. She told him that she would not interview him because this is a sign of future problems. Instead of actually having a conversation with my son she just sent him away. His application clearly stated that this was his first job application or interview of any kind and he chose Davanni’s as they SEEMED to be an employer that was supportive of youth employment. This is not how you treat someone that is brand new to the workforce. This is not how you treat anyone in any capacity if you are running a business. It would have been just as easy to either have the interview and don’t hire. Or reschedule the interview if you are too busy. THIS WAS HANDLED IN THE MOST INAPPROPRIATE FASHION I HAVE EVER SEEN. We need to support our young workforce. Encourage these young minds not tear them down. I would strongly encourage others to rethink supporting this business as this could be an indication of future practices. I have sent an email and feel that at the very least an apology should be issued to my child. The employee involved does not reflect well on this establishment nor do they perform up to the mission statement. 7:34pm order was taken 8:10pm finally got my order. The old man made my day there but overall the other workers were talking and slacking in the back making pizza. A lady complained about the slow service because she didn't get her food yet. I also asked around 750pm and they didn't get my order done either. A dry apology but no discount offered or anything. The food was good but overall not professional. People after me who came to order got their food out way earlier than mine. I felt my order was being delay or due to slacking off when I observed the workers. Overall bad customer service experience but I only came cause the food was good. Didn't look like they had much management supervising or taking charge. A estimated time frame of 25 minutes was given but it was way over that time frame for two simple pizza orders. I asked for minimal things like all 3 food items coming out at the same time. Burnt chicken wings wrong sauce on the wings i didnt care genuinly but the sauce wasnt enough and when i asked for more bbq he ignored me it seems or didnt hear me.. burnt pizza was the excuse to why it was late.. old world garli.
