A really tasty spot to hit up after a hike. Four of us went to eat and had my dog with me. They were very excited to see my dog. It was chilly out, and they offered us to move to a different area outside that had been taken when we got there, but that party left soon after we arrived as they were finishing up their meals. Getting a cozier spot next to the standing heaters and blocked by the wind, we enjoyed the cheese curds. Nice and crispy outside, with delicious melty cheese inside. I got the candied bacon burger (a must!) and my girlfriend got the pulled pork. Both sandwiches were absolutely delicious, as well as the fries. Also to note, these are 1/2 lbs mamma jammas of burgers. I first had an ipa I can’t remember what it was called. Not sure if I got the end of the keg because the beer was fairly flat, but not the worst end of a keg beer I’ve had. Since it was cold I also ordered a spiked coffee after my beer. I can’t remember what it was called but was Mexican inspired having cinnamon, Kahlua, and tequila I believe. Overall a really great experience here with the staff, the food, and them tolerating my crazy dog!

I went to Cast Iron Tavern. It was a new place for me. New places can be overwhelming, but I was excited. The lights were not too bright, and the noise level was okay. That made me feel comfortable. I ordered a burger. It was a complicated order because I like things a certain way. Sometimes that makes people annoyed, but Elizabeth was very nice. She listened carefully and got everything right. That made me happy. The burger was perfect. The texture was great, and the flavors were just right. I like predictable food, and this was exactly how I wanted it. I also drank two large Cokes. I like Coke because the bubbles feel nice in my mouth. The cups were big, which is good because I drink a lot. Elizabeth kept checking to make sure I had enough. That made me feel cared for. I really liked Cast Iron Tavern. It felt safe, the food was amazing, and Elizabeth was awesome. I will definitely go back because I know it will be good again. I like places that stay the same. That makes me happy.

I'm unsure HOW this place isn't five stars but. I will say, I am very very picky and judgmental when it comes to food that I pay for. This place meets and exceeds any standard I've ever set going into a food establishment. The customer service was great, the food was amazing, and the prices are affordable. I got the half dozen wings with thr house hot sauce, we also got a kids meal Mac and cheese my wife got the pulled pork sandwich which wasn't pictured. Their wings were cooked perfectly, they weren't loaded with sauce, but it was enough sauce to get some with every bite and was a nice change as I didn't have to use a napkin after every bite. The Mac and cheese was creamy and loaded with flavor. Everything there I am assuming is home/house made because the ranch was unique, as well thr BBQ sauce we got on the side for the sandwich. 10/10 I wish we weren't moving or else we'd be here every weekend.

A friend and I arrived during happy hour. We were there to catch up with each other, but also to discuss some business, so we had our laptops with us. We ordered multiple appetizers and drinks and stayed past happy hour. Our bill was at about $100 and we still had full drinks when the waitress came over and notified us there was a 7pm reservation coming so we had to leave by then.

There was no wait at the door, though it had become busier for dinner time. We were in no way being disruptive. We found this really strange to be asked to leave. So I asked her if there was simply someone who had reserved this specific booth we were sitting at? We were happy to move tables if that is the case. She just looked at me and rudely replied “I’ll just go grab your check” and walked away. By this point we were entirely confused as to why this was happening. We looked online and made a 7pm reservation for ourselves, because we weren’t finished and wanted to stay longer and order more items. We told her we were able to make a reservation so can we please move to a different table? She didn’t like that at all.

She said if we order an entree now we can stay. We were not loitering by any means, continuously ordering things. She mentioned something about happy hour-The appetizers cost as much as meals, and I always like to order appetizers as my meals. Everything here is overpriced. Not everything we purchased was a happy hour discount and we were there past happy hour. We were told they have a cap on how long someone can have a table. Which would only make sense to me if we had stopped ordering, but we were spending money our entire visit. I don’t know why we were treated like this, but we were really offended and I left very upset without even finishing my drink (because “our time was up”).

I will never return to this place. I have never felt so mistreated at an establishment. It’s actually my 2nd bad experience with them in the past year, but I decided to give it another chance yesterday. I tipped MORE than 20% and I don’t know why. I guess I was trying to prove we weren’t the type of people they apparently thought we were. I don’t understand what the difference is of a new group arriving and ordering at our table vs. us staying and continuing to purchase items.

I wish I could understand the reason we were...

Cast Iron started our journey into Restaurant Week by setting the bar pretty high. There were 5 in our party, we had a reservation and were seated quickly after the party at our booth finished. Our waitress was efficient, fun and very nice. She, and the rest of the wait staff had perfect timing. We enjoyed deviled eggs, green chili and the butternut squash and apple salad. All were great. The eggs were unique and beautifully presented. There wasn't one complaint from anyone at the table about any of the entrees, from a couple of different burgers, hot chicken, chimichuri steak and the rueben. The s'more pot de creme were an adorable end to the meal. I won't stop raving about the mini bread pudding. It wasn't so mini considering how rich it is. It was as beautifully presented as the deviled egg and had 2 types of magical cream sauces on top. I shared with my table mates and they thought it was great, also. I have to mention the unique and gorgeous craft cocktails, too. From the old fashioned which was perfect to the espresso martini, we all loved our adult beverages. It was Friday night and jam packed in the restaurant but the atmosphere was welcoming and other patrons were obviously having a great meal, too. We barely noticed the buzz in the building because we were concentrating on our fabulous meal. Thanks for a great start to our Restaurant...

OMG! if you are in Denver you have to go here! Ask for Mel, she is awesome, knows her way around the menu, great drink mixologist. She can tell you what drink pairs nicely with what food. Now let's talk about the food, we read reviews online and decided to order and split so we could try a bunch of stuff. The empanadas are excellent! get them!!!! hot wings house hot- fantastic. pear and gorgonzola flat bread wonderful much to my husband's shagrin. he didn't think he would like it but he hogged it. And we split the green chili, hot-spicy but goooood. I was still a little hungrier than my hubby so I ordered the deviled eggs OMG SO FREAKING GOOD!!! My husband was like "really you are going to pay $8 for deviled eggs..." they were worth every penny! I made him try one and he even said they are the best he has ever had. NOW let's talk drinks. I ordered a margarita, um can you say yum! I definitely got my money's worth. my husband tried several micro brews and his and my favorite were the left handed milk stout- dark stout. she brought me her recommended tequila- casamigos repasado... if you like sipping tequila, get it. she had several other recommendations for tequila but that's neither her nor their. If you are unsure she will hook you up with a little sample so you aren't disappointed. again we will be back. our new...
